But have they done this with every SEGA Megadrive RPG?

Baseball Stars on NeoGeo Pocket Color is a REALLY good game. I hate baseball, and I've been having a blast with this game this morning. Or maybe I enjoy it because it's a TERRIBLE baseball game. It's definitely one of the two; mediocre sports games wouldn't interest a guy who hates sports games.

@Ack

No.

Mega Drive gets trickier as there are those random Taiwanese games thrown into the mix.

Kinda surprised that Rent A Hero and Tougi-Ou: King Colossus lack walkthroughs as well.

They need guides for all the various PC Engine RPGs we never got.

War of the Dead, Legend of Xanadu II, Xak I + II, and Ys IV all have really decent guides (off the top of my head).

But yeah, I wish that section was fleshed out more.

Well, Ys IV has had an English translation patch around a while, and Xanadu I and Xanadu II are probably only a few months or so away from English patch releases (with the option of English voice acting).

Well, they're still Japan-only games with really good guides! :wink:

I don't keep up with the PCE scene so I've heard nothing about Xanadu translation patches. That's pretty wild. I can read enough Japanese to have completed both games in the past. Highly recommended.

I beat Ys IV before the latest patch was released. I think I'll check it out eventually though. The fact that they redubbed the dialogue is pretty amazing.

Oh, man, Baseball Stars is so good on the NGPC. I'm not a big fan of sports games either, but I can play Baseball Stars all day. Baseball Stars 2 is the only sports game on my PS3.

UNO is actually bizarrely popular in Japan. I used to play it a lot with students.

On a somewhat related, but random, note, It's really strange/interesting reading a Japanese person's take on NFL Football '94 for the Genesis/Mega Drive: http://sesesega.blog90.fc2.com/blog-entry-625.html

Finally, I had a weird reaction to seeing an advertisement for Persona 5 on the Sega Japan homepage, before I remembered that Atlus became part of Sega when they bought Atlus' parent company.
