Pokemon Red and Blue, Ocarina of Time and Dark Forces 2: Jedi Knight for sure.

As for just pick-up games, Super Mario Bros., Gun.Smoke, and Smash Bros (Melee and WiiU/3DS).

After playing through it again, I'm pretty sure Symphony of the Night is a comfort game at this point.

Lately since I got the Neo Geo arcade cabinet, Neo Turf Masters and League Bowling. They're low stress and easy enough to do at your own pace.

you can do that consistently in the new Doom. Plus heavy metal soundtrack.
