Henry, I had a Panasonic 3DO when it was first released and I remember my console's lens having the same problem just months after I had got the console. I only had NFS, Return Fire, and Space Ace. Return Fire probably being my favorite game on the console. My cousins had more games than me, I specifically remember playing a lot SF2 Turbo at their place.

I was never able to get mine fixed either, and I ended up getting a PS1 to replace it. It's still sitting around my place somewhere.

I got mine from a Salvation Army store for like $20.. I got it more for collecting than to play, but Gex is pretty fun, and twisted has its moments. That and Madden are all i have for it. I have the Panasonic version and have had no problems mechanically. It wasnt the best $20 I ever spent, but i feel as though I have gotten my monies worth overall.

Just burn at 2x and you should be ok.

If you have crappy backups, you are going to burn out your laser as it will be bouncing all over the place.

i'm not sure if there are potentiometers on the 3do's drive to put more power into laser.

I figured i would just use this post instead of making another one...

I just won a 3do

FZ-10 with box and all paper work in mint condition
Controller and all wires
Street Fighter Turbo with box
Need for speed with box
novastorm with box

Everything is susposed to be in near mint condition, by the pics every looks minty mint to me. But i paid 104$ shipped. *im a box hound as we all know* considering that it is all mint do you guys think i was nuts...or fair?
Yep, I know im the one ya love to hate.

The problem with SF on the 3DO is that it maps the "start" button to one of your actions, due to it being three buttons and two shoulders. There's a Capcom pad that was created that turns it into the Genesis 6 button pad, but I haven't been able to track one of those down.

Well my 3do got here today...let me say its way better than mint. Looks brand new actually. He also sent me a converter box that i had never seen...you can plug it in to the 3do and then use a super nes controller, as in..the 6 button capcom controller that is pictured on SFT. I actually already have that controller...about 5 months ago i tried to sell it on here and no one took it. Guess now i can dig it out and give it a go.
