North Carolina Meet-up Interest/Planning

Post by ElkinFencer10 »

Piggybacking off of Popo's initiative, let's talk about interest in a North Carolina/Virginia meet up. I'm in central North Carolina just south of the Virginia border (an hour north of Raleigh right on I-85 and US-1 if that helps), and I'd love to host a get-together. I can get a stack of pizzas or I can buy some burgers if someone less incompetent than I wants to use my grill (it's an electric grill, though, so I don't know if it would even be worth it to anyone).

Basically any weekend would be good with me except July 7th through July 11th (I'll be in Baltimore for BronyCon). If you'd be interested, shoot me a PM or a reply here. I don't know who all is in the area, so if you happen to know a member in the general area, let them know to check this thread out so I can see how much interest there is.

Crap, you're like a 3 hour drive for me. I might make the trip sometime though, you have any cabs other than the Neo?

How close are you to Bald Head Island? I'll be there for vacation over the summer in early July.

Unfortunately, the MVS is the only cabinet I have. I have neither money nor room for any others at the moment.

Are there any good arcades in Durham, Raleigh, or Greensboro?

Hey everyone, it's been a long time since I was active here, but I saw that this topic came up and had to respond. I'm in the Raleigh/Durham area, and would be interested in some sort of meetup.

There are a few barcades in the area, my favorite being The Baxter in Chapel Hill, which has an assortment of classic machines and pinball tables. I've also been to Boxcar in Raleigh a couple times, that one is a bit bigger with newer cabs.
Got: Atari 2600, Atari 7800Pro, Commodore 64, Odyssey 2, Sega Master System, NES, Genesis Models 1-3, Nomad, Game Gear, Sega CD Model 1, Sega 32x, SuperNES, GameBoys, GameBoy Pocket, GBC, Sega Saturn Model 2, GBA, Nintendo 64, Playstation, Sega Dreamcast, Playstation 2 Slim, Nintendo DS Lite, Xbox 360, Gamecube, PS3 Slim

I could dig a Raleigh/Durham meetup. I work in Richmond, VA so I'm about two and a half hours away from the Raleigh/Durham metro area. I wouldn't mind touring the area with a local.
