Incidentally, another Upstate New Yorker, eh? Too bad Upstate means "everything that isn't NYC"... Greetings from Rochester. There's 1 or 2 other semi-locals around here but not nearly as many as some locales.

Yeah I grew up an hour north of Albany near Saratoga. I now live in Plattsburgh which is an hour south on Motreal. My Dad's family is from Buffalo though.
