Make sure you bring scape dolls to the final boss...
I got about 3 of them right now, so I'm pretty happy about that. Hopefully, I'm done with the escorting/partner missions. I'm getting tired of being so high of level compared to them and then loosing the mission because they die!

The problem is my gun can no longer be upgraded. It's at a +50, so I had to find a new gun to start boosting. I'm not letting those monogrinders go to waste!

Well, I just finished Episode 1. 36 hours. Skipped a bunch of quests as burn-out was setting in. I'll tackle Episode 2 after the Summer Gaming Challenge. Kinda hope it isn't as long.

Urgh, Ornstein and Smough are bastards. But they will fall even if I need to get Solaire to help me out.

Baten Kaitos is still very fun. I'm really having a great time with the card-battling system, getting past the elements and basic attack powers and into the bonuses you can get by utilizing the numbers on the cards for things like pairs and straights.

Being that this is an RPG Namco had anything to do with, I'm using a guide fairly religiously. If you hated how much the Tales games had fairly out of the way or hard to find side-quests which cover the course of the entire game, you will probably equally not like Baten Kaitos'. This is espcially considering how much this game likes side-quests that rely on collecting an item, and then waiting in real time for that item to change into another item (like up to an hour, hour and a half). All of that aside, that stuff is always just for little side-quests, and I've yet to see one that's mattered significantly. Though if you're trying to do something like, have had every card, then you're really gonna need a guide and/or plan to play through the game more than once.

Still, side-quest nonsense aside, I'm really enjoying the game. The story is actually pretty neat with no voice acting ruining it. Reminds me of a FFX or Mother 3-esque plot-line crossed with Skys of Arcadia, even though SoA had a fairly standard "pilgrimage for the crystals" plot arc as well. In my opinion, perhaps by virtue of how much I like the battle system, I'm enjoying this significantly more than I enjoyed SoA.

Deus Ex Human Boopalution Director's Smut

I just finished the Hengsha Docks and hit the DLC where you're a prisoner on the boat. I think I'm at like 22 hours or so (not sure because the game doesn't track it for you). I took a break last night (and tonight) to play Rusty on PC98. Honestly I'm quite ready for DEHRDC to be over. It's not terrible or anything, but it is overrated (IMNSHO) and grows to be monotonous.

I'm getting stuck into Persona 4 Golden lately. It's actually game P on my alphabet marathon and I've not played game O yet. That said, considering how long Persona 4 is likely to be, I don't think it hurts to get stuck in early and get through some of it.

So far I've rescued Yukiko from the castle. Kanji just appeared on the TV so I imagine the next dungeon will open to me soon.

I plan to get started on game O this weekend too - it's also an RPG - Opoona for Wii. It should be unique.

How much more charm can Paper Mario and the Thousand Year Door have? I just got to chapter 4 and the game keeps me smiling from ear to ear with all the dialogue, characters, combat, graphics and so on. It's just a fun game to play and I'm loving it all.

I'm planning to finish Bravely Second tonight or tomorrow (finally). I got bored with it for a while and had to take a break, and then I spent a full day grinding for money and exp to buy better equipment, and now I'm knocking out the side quests before proceeding with Chapter 5's main quest (now that I have the 2nd best equipment in the game and all of my characters are above level 90, lol).

The prisoner on the boat scenario was originally the DLC, so it's quite a lengthy area. After that you have two smaller areas to go.

How are you planning on doing the boat?

So far I've been going through the game in full on assault mode*. But it seems my gear was taken away from me, so I'll have to do a little sneaky sneak until I get some guns again. Then I shall commence murdering everyone on the boat.

*Simply because the enemy AI is extremely easy to funnel into death traps, so it takes less time to kill them all, then it does to sneak around them.
