Lionhead Studios officially closed

Apparently it happened last Friday, but Lionhead Studios is officially defunct.

Yeah, I'm pretty sad about this, even though their latter catalog wasn't for me. RIP.

Seems pretty easy to blame MS on this, more than likely forcing them to develop all those Kinect games at the end there that nobody wanted. I never thought Fable was all that great though, but Black and White was amazing for its time.

Definitely sad either way and not good for MS, since they kind of need all the first party support they can get right now.

I'm also a big fan of Black & White. Great idea, good implementation. I wonder how great it could be if someone try to implement that with modern technology.

That is a shame I really enjoyed the Fable series. It seems that many AAA studios are facing this type of closure and restructuring. :(

I hope the team at Lionhead can find new employment quickly. :)

I wish I'd actually tried to go in for a bit when I was in Guildford. Walked by it all week going to Surrey Satellite Technology back in 2008.
