So I was Flash1987, I'm now Flash1987v2. I never made an intro first time around so thought I'd say hey more officially.

I'm a Brit but live in Vietnam and teach English... which gives me loads of free time to enjoy the beautiful weather... by hiding indoors and playing video games. Winning! haha

I'm a PC gamer as getting consoles over here is nigh on impossible but I also do a lot of emulation. Aside from gaming I've always been a huge comic books fan, once upon a time it was nearly all DC and the original Valiant but in recent years it's mostly Marvel and indies.

Wellcome back Flash1987. What happened? Did you have trouble with your account? Maybe if you contact an admin they can help.

Also, welcome bengerman777. I just saw your post. Welcome to the Racketboy forums.

Hey guys i'm John with an 'H' 8) I'm 25 years old. I'm an advent videogamer player mostly playing on the consoles. I haven't dabbed too much into pc gaming since Warcraft III. I always revisited the SNES for the classics such as Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Mario RPG, Megaman X, Zelda: A Link to the Past, Chrono Trigger, and Super Metroid. Although the game that I first remember playing was Final Fantasy III (VI in japan) and I still have all the character themes stuck in my head

But recently now I'm reminiscing about the other retro consoles as well such as the N64 and the PS1. Who remembers the good ol' times when you played against your siblings or friends in Golden Eye 007 (No Oddjob!), along with StarFox64 and Ocarina of Time. For the PS1 I really want to replay Suikoden 1 & 2 along with Wildarms series and Megaman Legends.

Anyways I hope to revisit these titles and much more. I plan on streaming it too on my twitch channel. If you want to come and check me out sometime visit my team channel LionsDenTV (i'm the blue guy)

Yo, folks! My name is Travis, and I'm just an old man clocking in at 30 years old. I've been collecting and playing games for a while now, but now I want to get to know other like-minded gamers out there. I've read Racketboy articles here and there for years, but I decided to join the forums after learning about the Summer Games Challenge. Now I'm extremely happy to join a forum full of cool folks.

Welcome! I just added you on Backloggery, Steam, and PSN. Btw, your Steam information seems a bit out of date on your Backloggery; it's listed as "howdyimtravis" but I had to search for "sauce fonda" before I could find you. Just fyi.

Ah okay! Thanks for the heads up. I'll add that to my to-do list and add you on Steam right now.

Welcome to Racketboy John with an H.
Welcome to Racketboy Travis. You're not that old. I just turned 31. I suspect that thirty is around the median age for this site, but I have no data to back that up.

I'm only 25. How many standard deviations am I from the mean?

It's a reasonable expectation. It is a retro forum first and foremost, and nostalgia absolutely plays a part in retro love. Not the only thing that causes it (I mean... retro games are just awesome) but it's definitely a big part of it, so older players are more naturally drawn here.

34 myself.
