I'm champing at the bit to get started on DQII, and since you will probably beat it much faster than me, I may go ahead and fire it up!

By all means go ahead and start. I don't know when I'll get around to it, but it will be before the summer ends.

prfnl_gmr, I am sad that you are not doing Tecmo Bowl, because that one's on my list.

But speaking of lists, here is mine:

Gonna do a few Phoenix Wright games, Kirby 64, Metal Gear, Metal Gear 2, Metal Gear Solid and Metal Gear Solid 2. Kid Icarus does interest me, might try that out.

I appreciate the knowledge Sarge, but I only own the original Tecmo Bowl. I try to use the Summer Challenge as inspiration to tackle stuff I've already got, so some such things get decided for me by mere circumstance.

And Bone, I just played Contra for the first time yesterday and looooooved it. I just can't see paying $40+ for it. I never even want to spend more than $20 on NES games. So I'll probably end up with Kid Icarus, if I can find a nice deal.

Also I loved your enthusiasm.

Do you own a Nintendo DS? If so, buy Contra 4. It is an amazing game; a cart-only copy of the game costs between $13 and $20; and you can unlock the NES versions of both Contra and Super C.
