I haven't spent much time with the SNES MechWarrior titles, but I might go track down MechWarrior 3050 because it looked a lot like the Strike series...with a mech.

RoboCop vs. Terminator is one that I've put a little time into but haven't beaten yet. I've got the password written down for a level inside the Skynet base, but I don't know how much of the game I have left. I should really get around to finishing that one sometime, but I always found it pretty brutal.

I'm glad you mentioned the superior Genesis version of Robocop vs. Terminator. That game has so much violence and grit, it really fits the genesis motif.

MechWarrior on SNES was a little too ambitious, but then again so was the original PC game by Dynamix and that one has its share of problems as well. Neither game bearing the name has aged all that gracefully but they're still cool for what they tried to do. I thought it was clever how they took advantage of the Mode 7.

The MechWarrior 3050 title always amused me. Battletech came out two years earlier on Genesis but after MechWarrior 2 made that brand name popular they changed the name for the SNES port. The name recognition was probably the only reason they released it the first place, why else port a two year old game?

I beat this game once with a friend (one of the rare times I got to play multiplayer retro games in my adult life). We made it to the last boss, and I lost all of my lives during the fight. He was on his last life, with low health. The way the fight was going, I thought for sure he was gonna die. But, to my surprise, he won. So technically I guess I didn't beat the game, but I'll still count it.
