Rad. That actually is one of my favorite NES sports games (even if the robot fights are entirely too rare). I would be hard-pressed to call it a classic, however.

Idk, man. Those fights weren't rare when I played it. I'm absolute rubbish at baseball games (despite always wanting to play them, namely the GameCube Mario Baseball game), so I basically never made legit hits and just beat the baseman to death XP

I think I'd agree that while it is a fun romp, especially with a friend, it's not exactly a 'classic' Xp

Well...I just beat Final Fantasy Adventure...seriously, like, 1 minute ago...so that's off the list! I will write about it soon in the games beaten thread. (In short, it is a fun, portable ARPG with some great ideas that laid the groundwork for a fantastic sequel, but some parts of its design are completely unacceptable by modern standards.)

Here's my revised tentative list:

Aquales | 1991 | Sharp X68000
Beneath Apple Manor | 1978 | Apple II
Dragon Quest II | 1987/1999 | Game Boy Color
Quest For Glory: So You Want To Be A Hero | 1989/1992 | DOS
Malaya's Treasure | 1989 | MSX
New Devil Golvellius | 1988 | MSX2
Night Slave | 1996 | PC-98
Policenauts | 1994/1996 | PlayStation
Rusty | 1993 | PC-98
Shadow Tower | 1998 | PlayStation
The Scheme | 1988 | PC-88
XX

I added Policenauts, because I meant to have a classic sci-fi adventure game and forgot. The XX is for adding one more game, because I'm going for a dirty dozen here. I'm pretty stoked to play all these.

Kid Icarus is either really hard or I am terrible. Both?

The first three stages are really, really hard. Go slowly and kill everything before proceeding upward. You will build experience this way, and you will make the ascent less perilous. Once you get to 2-1 and have acclimated to the jumping mechanics (and gained both some additional life and attack power), it gets a lot easier.

I'll keep at it. In terms of difficulty it seems on par with The Mysterious Murasame Castle.

It's easier than that. I gave up on Murasame Castle...
