And there I was thinking I had bought myself into the cool kids club already. Oh well, better save up for that Ketsui board...mjmjr25 wrote:Strikers III

King of Air are VGA/CGA - so, not compatible on most CRT's.Nyukki wrote:@Mike, yes please on the China intros, thanks dude!
I found a guy selling the King of Air, about $40 US, but the dude said it won't work on CRTs. Apparently there's a 15khz version but I haven't seen it anywhere.

But then still compatible on something like a blast city that has vga input?

Yeah - it will pick up VGA right through the harness. I have a similar setup in my AWSD cabs and they play native - plug and play, well, you do need an adapter, but then plug and play.

Re: Best places to buy shmup PCBs
Thanks for all the help dudes.
After several sleepless nights, I'm currently thinking about going for a jpac/mame solution, and then maybe going for the odd less well emulated pcb (e.g. DDP DOJ) if I feel so inclined.
First things first, need to buy a cab. Going to go look at one (astro city) either next weekend or the following. Any good threads any one can recommend with kind of a checklist of what to look out for/what questions to
ask when inspecting the cab?
cheers
