As I said, narratively yes. You spend the vast majority of the game protecting Elizabeth as you move through Columbia. But in terms of gameplay she's an invincible ghost to the enemies. They don't notice her and nothing can harm her.fastbilly1 wrote:Are yall saying that Infinite is pretty much nothing but a big escort mission?
What single player FPS campaign are you playing?

right. This is why I said it's like a good escort mission. It works as a great story piece, but doesn't hinder you. In fact, she is often tossing you ammo or something helpful.MrPopo wrote:As I said, narratively yes. You spend the vast majority of the game protecting Elizabeth as you move through Columbia. Thanks Popo, it stays on my wishlist. Escort missions where the escortee are squishy aggravate me. Then again, if they are a bullet magnet and invincible, it is just funny - ala Medal of Honor Frontline.MrPopo wrote:They don't notice her and nothing can harm her.

I have also begun playing through Bioshock. I've gone ahead and cleared the intro area as well as the Medical Pavilion and am saved at the beginning of Neptune's Bounty. I'm also relying heavily on the wrench, save for the sole Big Daddy fight I had to do. That asshole got just about all of my armor piercing revolver rounds in his dome, followed by some good old fashioned buckshot and a hacked sentry turret. He was a hoss, but he's dead now.
If I have any criticism, its that the gunplay just feels like a console game, so I'm not bothering with it. Since I can kill most folks right now with a straight up wrench hit or stun them first and knock out their teeth, I just don't see any reason to do otherwise.

Ah, if it's this:PartridgeSenpai wrote:The Japanese first one I believe. It has a pretty orange cover and says "KINGS FIELD" on it.

It's been years since I played that.fastbilly1 wrote:Then again, if they are a bullet magnet and invincible, it is just funny - ala Medal of Honor Frontline.
*watches a playthrough*
Oh, that mission. Running through the city where you ended up dying far more than your escort did, if I remember correctly he would be assisting you in fighting but he couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. That was probably my least favorite part of the game.

Are the campaigns for Battlefield 3 and Crysis 3 decent at all? I forget I got them for free with my graphics card awhile back.
Re: What single player FPS campaign are you playing?
Crysis 3 isn't bad. I don't know how it is if you like to guns blazing; I did full stealth and the bow is awesome if you enjoy doing the stealth route. The environment your in has a heavy jungle presence, but it still isn't as open feeling as the original Crysis.

I hated it until I sat back and let him fire wildly. Eventually I ended up using him as a shield while I sniped around him.ExedExes wrote:It's been years since I played that.fastbilly1 wrote:Then again, if they are a bullet magnet and invincible, it is just funny - ala Medal of Honor Frontline.

The wrench gets it all done for sure. It's pretty overpowered once you get more plasmids for it and such.Ack wrote:I have also begun playing through Bioshock. Bioshock 2's gameplay was a lot better, despite working with the same style and all.
I'm not even sure if Infinite is on the same engine, or is heavily modified after the first two. The gunplay is extremely good in this one and WAY different. There's usually way more enemies on screen, much larger and open environments, and long range combat. Melee won't save you here. Well, minus the insane brutal take down like moves. But yeah... I like Infinite's gunplay way more.
