I'm probably about to start System Shock.

Piece of advice; at the beginning use the pipe for the most part; you generally only want to pull out a gun against the handful of enemies with firearms.

Thanks; I definitely would have gone in guns blazing, haha. Yeah, I've had it on my Steam wishlist for a while, but it was on sale for like $3.40 or something Saturday, so I bought it (but was far too busy playing Starfox Zero at the time).MrPopo wrote:Eeeeeeeeeeee!ElkinFencer10 wrote:I'm probably about to start System Shock.

Oh god, I was not prepared for that old-school a PC game. I love old console games, but 20+ year old PC games aren't my forte. That will have to be a game I tackle on a weekend when I'm rested and have more patience...

After that post I really hope you make this a Let's Play, for the entertainment value.

Elkin, if you beat OG System Shock, I will go back and finish Hyperdimension Neptunia.
I'll even eat pudding while I do it.
The original System Shock is one of the best games ever made, no joke, no hyperbole. It's definitely the best pure aught cyberpunk game ever created. Trust me, I keep hoping someone will make something better, but in 22 years it hasn't happened yet.

I can totally get behind what Exhuminator is talking about. Hell, check out my summary from the Games Beaten 2015 thread. I loved every minute I spent with System Shock.

Deal. First free weekend I have, System Shock is getting beaten. I'll even record it for Popo, though my video creation and editing skills are on par with that of a mentally challenged orangutan.Exhuminator wrote:Elkin, if you beat OG System Shock, I will go back and finish Hyperdimension Neptunia.

I completed the 2013 version of Rise of the Triad this week, now I'm onto Call of Juarez: Bound In Blood. Looks and sounds great. I'm still trying to get the hang of Thomas' Concentration Mode (bullet time thing), because his is different from Ray's. I can only seem to lock onto one enemy and then my time is up. I think it would have been better if they didn't give you a countdown timer to use it in, instead being able to use it when there's more enemies in range.

Okay then. After I finish Deus Ex 3 I'll go back to Hyperdimension Neptunia on Vita. Maybe this time I can learn to stop worrying and love the Nep.ElkinFencer10 wrote:Deal. First free weekend I have, System Shock is getting beaten.
