I'm open minded about it. I read The Watchmen so long ago and don't remember the story that well. So I don't have the whole, "how could they change that part of the story!" view towards it. However, Zack Snyder is one of the last people I would have thought capable of doing something this ambitious so I do have some minor skepticism about how good it'll be. I'd be more confident if someone like Bryan Singer or Christopher Nolan had worked on it since we know they can do deep story with complex characters. I'm sorry but successfully adapting 300 doesn't mean you can do The Watchmen. 300 lacks the depth and is more about visuals. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and see the movie at some point though

Don't give a shit about the comic, but I may see this just for the effects.

On a related note, the new Terminator 4 trailer has impressed me to the point that I think the movie might not be so dogshit anymore.

Yeah, I know what you're saying about that. 300 wasn't really deep to begin with. I'm afraid this one will shoot for an epic style and miss the sort of depth that's needed. Still it will be awesome just to see Rorschach in action.

I was really looking forward to it until I heard about a few of the changes being made...I won't go into them though, but they did upset me immensely.

It looks like it could be really good, but so did the first Hulk. I want to see it though maybe this weekend.

Saw it today. Found it to be completely average. Judging from the changes they supposedly made to the original story, I gatta say, I cant imagine enjoying the comic any more than the movie. The changes mostly sounded for the better.

I guess I just didn't care for any character at all. I found all of the kung-fu bullshit to be pointless. The sex scenes too. The story pacing was either too fast, or dead still. The soundtrack annoyed me. It's like they intentionally picked the most overused licensed tracks possible. The makeup job on Nixon was LAUGHABLY bad. Why did so many characters have supernatural speed and strength?

Rorschach was pretty cool though. In fact, he almost saved the movie all by himself. He's an intimidating little dude, isn't he?

I just got done watching it, I really really really enjoyed it. I feel the music fit every scene, the sex scene was pointless. And the few things left out or changed from the book was in my opinon for the better.

I haven't read the comic at all, but I was very satisfied with the movie. If given an opportunity I'll definitely check out the graphic novel.
