Ugh, finally got that Playstation TV hacked. It's so much more a pain in the rear than the PSP. Email exploits, no direct access to the memory card... it's just terrible all around. Well, it's probably good for Sony, since it's not easy to do and it still only gives me the PSP side of things (as it currently stands), but whatevs. I want to play some of my old PSP games on there that aren't available for purchase.

There's like 5 options on wololo.net - which did you use? I have one in a box that I haven't touched yet, but I'm a big fan of CFWs to unlock my devices (and it's always easiest on older FWs so sooner rather than later) as evidenced by the fact that the first thing I did with my n3DS was CFW it up...

I picked up two rather rare items recently:

1. Tengen Tetris. I bought for my friend as he had been looking for it for a while now and I just saw it randomly one day while game shopping.

2. Super Gameboy 2. I bought this one for myself. I removed the tabs in my SNES, which took a bit more work than expected. I want to test it out for myself first, but I'm now excited to eventually play GameBoy games at their correct speed!

I installed TN-V. I managed to get the custom bubble on there, replacing Loco Roco Midnight Carnival, through all the email shenanigans. The real pain is getting stuff on the system, you have to use combinations of Vita Update Blocker, QCMA, and whatever other magic you can summon to copy things over. I'm getting it figured out, but I sure miss the days of just dumping files in the right place on the memory card.

I might try to slide Rejuvenate on there, although I'm not entirely sure it's that useful given that I already have a modded Wii for my emulation needs, and it's a lot easier to get stuff on there.

I think I'm gonna try to play every Golden Age arcade game (1976-1984, roughly) that has been ported or "officially" emulated. Should be a fun little project.

Well, one advantage of installing TN-V has been that PSP games look much nicer through a PS TV than through the component hookup of a PSP. Unfortunately, depending on the game, it actually makes the dithering really, really apparent. I threw Nayuta no Kiseki on there, and man, it's clear it was designed for an LCD screen.

Still, I also put Hexyz Force on there, and it looks really nice. I've got to figure out how to trick the PSX side of things to use the full video mode like my Vita-native versions, as opposed to PSP native. Might just be something with how the EBOOTs are put together, who knows?

Since the recent new world record SMB run came out, I've been on a speed run spree. I appreciate both TAS and regular for their own reasons. This latest one I found though, wow. It's pulling some incredible stuff, even for TAS. 5 minutes for Adventure of Link? The only fight he actually has to do is Dark Link?
