I purchased a lot of Game Gear games last weekend, and I took a picture of my collection arranged alphabetically. Sadly, I added The Simpsons: Krusty's Fun House a few days later; so, the picture is outdated. Nonetheless, I thought I would post it to the forums:

Currently, I have 84 Game Gear games, and I would like to add another 44 to my collection at some point.

I see a good selection there. Got any favorites you have in that pile or ones you think would be if you found them? A few days ago I got wonderboy (revenge of drancon) in the mail. I'm kind of holding off playing as I want to get the thing modded and don't want to get into something I'll have to stop within it. :(

Thanks.

The Disney games, the Shinobi games, and the Sonic games are all pretty rad. Get those if you do not already have them.

The games I want the most for my collection are: Crystal Warriors, Mega Man, Ninja Gaiden, Revenge of Drancon, Shining Force, Vampire: Master of Darkness, and Wonder Boy III.

Your want list I mostly own or will like Vampire (watching for it), but Megaman is expensive and Shining Force isn't my thing. I've got Lion King and Castle of Illusion for Disney stuff, that's all. I've got the 2nd Shinobi in the mail whenever it arrives and it has Ninja Gaiden with it and Crystal Warriors.

Yeah...Mega Man is definitely pricey for what it is (i.e., arguably the worst Mega Man game not released for DOS). I am a fan of the series, however, and a completionist; so, I will bite the bullet at some point.

Got the same problem. I have the means to mod my Game Gears (and really want to because I'd like to use batteries), but I have one TH that needs an adjustment to the LEDs that I installed, and another one that has a random short in the light, which makes the brightness inconsistent (keeps changing the light intensity on me).

Maybe I'll post my collection sometime. I just consider it incomplete (and I don't find the killer deals that I used to).

Oh, and Crystal Warriors has a "paper, rock, scissors" mechanic. Just a thought if you are giving it a fair shake.
Otherwise, I didn't get super far in Adavnce Wars either. I agree, it is very rigid (although I do enjoy it for the most part).

You're right I struggled a bit but got the first map. I think I need to read a guide on it to understand how the town mechanic works since it's a buy, seer, magic buy and inn(save)+add party member area. The monster aspect is kind of SMT like a bit which was alright.

I gave that dude a 2/5 stars for shipping as it finally arrived today the 6 pack with Crystal Warriors I mentioned. He's 13 hours away in Arkansas, waited 5 days to go to a self service kiosk to print a label then took 2 more days to hand it over to actually mail it. Not cool. I found that when I got home, home from more GG luck a $12 buy of Fantasy Zone Gear, Dynamite Headdy and Land of Illusion which made me happy. :D So it's a 9 GG game day with CW, Dragon Crystal, Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi 2, Junction(can't figure it out yet). and Devilish.

I've decided in the last few months I'm fed up being nice on the DSRs on ebay. If someone slights me on shitty packing, not shipping on time, going over their ship window, ripping me off on shipping I'll kill their rating. I don't do it to others and I won't take it anymore.

I'm up to 29 games now.

Here's something I put in the finds of the month stuff here, just going to paste it. It lays out every single buy I've done as of today (4/23) and the prices. I think I did well didn't I?

The month of April though has been the month of the blue Game Gear. A couple weeks back I picked up a blue one with 5 commons (1 I used as a break open test, useless football game), official sega power plug and car adapter too. It had XMEN, Lion King, MK2, World Series Baseball as the keepers all for $30. Sound is great, screen once it warms up is too, but I've picked up a LED kit and cap kit for it online.

Online I've picked up the EU release of Wonderboy 3 Dragon's Trap (most I've paid yet at 15 shipped from the Netherlands, crazy thing showed up within 5 days too!) And then I grabbed Wonderboy (Revenge of Drancon), and also the Adventures of Batman and Robin as one offs. The rest were lots. A 7 game $20 lot had Aerial Assault(personal favorite), Bust-A-Move, ECCO, NHL (CIB), Castle of Illusion, MK1, and Jurassic Park. I got a $7 4 game lot of Sonic 2, Sonic Spinball, G-Loc, and Columns. And then one last 6 game lot with Shinobi 2, Ninja Gaiden(personal favorite again), Devilish, Junction, Dragon Crystal, and Crystal Warriors for $33.

Locally I've found and not paying more than $5/game too. And those would be little lots as well really. Today for $12 was Dynamite Headdy+Fantazy Zone+Land of Illusion. Last weekend for $15 was Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Shodown, Sonic Chaos and Streets of Rage. I did buy one when I got my Blaster transformer during the week for $5 -- Streets of Rage 2. That should cover it.

That's what I posted, if you need it itemized, use my signature and click Sega Game Gear on the left for a vertical list (oh and 10 of those games came with Sega dust clips.)

Add +13 game gear game cases and 3 games to the list (NBA Jam TE which came with the cases for all of $9) and $12 more got me Double Dragon + Ecco at the flea market out east of here.

Since the games are so oddly shaped the cases are helpful, but I got to get more so they're all snapped up nice and tight so they're flat and easily sorted.

Nice finds.
I don't see many deals these days (I feel like I live just short of the edge of the earth (a pretty rural area).
EBay and here are my only real source for older games.
Might have to barter my doubles for needed carts sometime.

No harm in that as hoarding extras does no one any good.
