Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I can't even keep up with all notable game releases these days, let alone play them. I try to focus on buying the most appealing new games I know about, and then play something else. I tend to let my games ripen with age like fine wine before I sip on them.

Yeah I can't find much reason to play a game as soon as it comes out. I also prefer to play things once the hype dies down.
My (youngest) daughter is doing a bit better on the sleeping front. I may get back into the swing of things soon. Looking forward to the summer challenge.
Oh! And I bought an MSX. Soooooooooooo stoked.

Yeah, I normally play a new game when I get it, but here lately, it's like "Nope, forget about that; here's 20,000 games you really want all within a couple months."Exhuminator wrote:I can't even keep up with all notable game releases these days, let alone play them. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I'm only now playing some of the big games from last generation so all of the current and upcoming games I want to play don't really make much of a difference to me. I like to wait at least until the dust settles and stuff is patched anyway.
No Man's Sky might be the exception though. I'm pretty eager to delve into that.

Haha there are some neat things I'm interested in trying that you can't find on consoles like Hydlide II, Borfes, and The Black Onyx II. Plus earlier versions of games like Golvellius and Dragon Slayer. My wish list is already a mile long.Exhuminator wrote:Looking forward to how this affects your blog.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Oh! It's an MSX1, so that does severely limit me in some respects. But I found most of the MSX2 shit to be prohibitively expensive.

That still gives you access to a lot of sweet Micro Cabin goodness I hope.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's an MSX1, so that does severely limit me in some respects.

Final Fantasy Adventure is an awesome ARPG. I honestly can't believe I haven't played it yet...so much old-fashioned fun (and absolutely no hand-holding!).

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
No Micro Cabin, unfortunately. All their RPGs on MSX are on floppy disk and require an MSX2 or - even worse (by which I mean "more expensive") - the turbo R. 'Sall good though, as I own most of their best games on console.Exhuminator wrote:That still gives you access to a lot of sweet Micro Cabin goodness I hope.BoneSnapDeez wrote:It's an MSX1, so that does severely limit me in some respects.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Speaking of Game Boy action-RPGs, I think Bone would enjoy these:
I messed them a bit last night via GameYob, and I was impressed.
