No way were SA and SA2 worse than Sonic 3D blast. And Secret Rings was way better than Shadow the hedgehog and Sonic 360.

Man, what's with all the Sonic 2 hate? I've always considered it to be far and away the best in the series. I wasn't aware that this was a controversial opinion, though I know some prefer Sonic CD.

I know right? I figured that everyone's favorite Sonic game pretty much went like this, they either liked Sonic 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, or Sonic CD.

I don't really understand whats wrong with Sonic 2, and I especially don't understand how it's easy. I actually thought this game was way harder than Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I breezed through that game as a kid and still do now. Sonic 2 always gave me problems after you got to Oil Ocean.

I like Sonic 2 I thought it was better than the first because you can do the "super spin dash attack" and you got tails(player 2) with you in case you need help with the boss.The level design was great and if you have S&K you can play as knuckles.I agree with Oil Ocean level it gets pretty hard after that,but I think the Metropolis level completely sucks.

Metropolis zone represents every mistake that's ever been made with the Sonic series. Err. . . well at least he didn't have a sword. . . or go fishing. . . or kiss a princess. . . ok I guess it was still better than all the new stuff.

I have to admit Sonic Rush for the DS is really good. Sega almost got it right with this one. Then messed it up with Sonic Rush Adventure.

How can anyone not like Sonic 2? Thats the best one in the whole series to me. It had the best music, best special stage, perfect length, and introduced the most important move to the whole series "the super spin dash".

Also Its funny that you say its too easy but don't knock the first one for being even easier. Its not like I expect you to say its the best one either, but when you say its one of the worst it just boggles my mind.

I thought the 1st was much harder. As far as the 2d sonic games go, its pretty horrible.

Sonic 2 is a mixed bag for me. While it was the first game I ever got it doesn't compare to Sonic 3 in my opinion. I'd take it over Sonic 1 probably but there's something about Sonic 2 that's different from any of the other genesis games. I think it's the graphics, they're not as vivid. Even emerald hill is kind of drab compared to Green hill in sonic 1. The Special stages were great though, I really liked the ones in Sonic 3 though (they got a little rediculous in S&K).

I think Sonic 3 had the best music too although all the games had some really good tracks.
