they can
question is, why they WOULD NOT?

btw, most of sonic fans are asking for the original sonic. 2d levels where you run fast.
You have the choice to play the older games, I think there were 3 of them.

who is going to pay $60 for 2d game with how many levels you will play before you get bored of it?30?

As nice as that image looks...how well would it play?
Sonic has never had a problem with looking good. The problem comes from terrible mechanics, and poor level design.

kingmohd84 - how many games even have 30 levels?
Psychonauts had what 10?
Mario Galaxy had 100ish - thought that it is debatable since many stages are the same just with another area open.
Clockwork Knight had 12
Sonic 2 had 22
Sonic 2 for the SMS/GG had 21
Mario 3 had 80ish - I didnt count them all nor could I find someone who had with my current limited resources
Heck even Donkey Kong only had 4

30 stages is enough to hold many gamers interest for a very long time - if done right

its not the size that matters. its what you do with it.

That is a very good point, one that I am ashamed that I did not point out in my last post... I will say that Ive been playing Sonic 2 since it came out and a couple weeks ago I discovered a part of one of the stages that I had never seen before. It may not be the best Sonic, and I may be more of a Mario fan, but the depth there is of a high level of merit.

I'd pay $60 for an hour of classic sonic gameplay before I'd pay $60 for 80 hours of werehog.

It could be a title for WiiWare, 360 Arcade or whatever PS3 downloads are called. Look at megaman 9, SSFIIHD Remix and Bionic Commando Rearmed, those 3 worked and the last 2 were pretty much the same concept from the pic.
