And when I do find something either game is missing or people like my goodwill over price the stuff. How are you going to charge me 13.99 for soul calibur 2 on the ps2? And gta 3 and vice city each for ten? You got that for free
Do you ever go to the Salvation Army over by Holy Cross? That place is usually a big, nasty dump, but if you've got the patience to dig through the garbage you'll sometimes find some amazing deals. I think the fact that they just kind of leave stuff wherever makes it a little harder for the scalpers to swoop in and grab everything of value. I never get over there anymore since I changed jobs and don't have time to swing by during my lunch hour.

Honestly if your a prime member on amazon just fish their amazon warehouse listings they have a nice variety of stuff and pricing errors are pretty frequent. Sure you don't get to see the item before you buy it but pretty much anything aside from "acceptable" listings are guaranteed to be CIB and usually comes in pretty great shape. That is aside from "retro" stuff which they now occasionally "factory seal" themselves with some shrink wrap then claim it's like new  . Returns are really easy though and most listings will guarantee that the case and manual are included in their listings.

Another upside is no money wasted on gas and you don't have to go through the hassle of competing with the other locals.

Here’s what I got on tuesday 04/19/16! Didn’t really find much at the fleamarket that I wanted to take home. I still left some games behind for others. Found Two movies for $3.00, okay. Then I got those two Atari 2600 games and PS2 memory card for $6.00. There were more atari games there but I already had them. I had to bust out my Google Drive to double check which atari games I already had. Those two there I didn’t have. Afterwards, I went to the stall where the guy a bit of OG xbox games. But I had most of them already too or they were a bit scratched up, so I chose those three there for $2.00 each. Pretty average for a tuesday. Then it was off to salvation army where I scored much better. I went through their whole cd section and pulled out some ps1 games but mostly dreamcast games! All of those loose dreamcast discs were inside the Sammy Sosa Baseball PS1 game. I wasn’t really planning on taking that baseball game, but the loose discs were already in it. I also pulled out a disc only copy of Metroid Prime 2 echoes that was inside the james bond case. I also got super excited because I thought I saw some Memory Stick Pro Duo cards mixed in with some jewlery but it ended up being just a case to hold them.I also found some UMD discs, they were all movies except for a PSP game. It ended up being a game called PUZZLE SCAPE. Its probably shovelware, but hey, a game is a game! Once I left the cd section I went over to the books and I got those pieces there. Some comics and manga as you can see and some Book on how to hack consoles! Written by Ben Heck! I’m sure there’s some of you that have heard of him! I then pulled out a nice Monster HDMI cable too. Mixed in with a bunch of cables and wires. I had a nice stack going as I made it to the register to pay, And as the guy was staring at my haul, he said $10 for everything! No complaints here! Carried my stuff back to my car and it was off to spend the rest of the day at work and then make it home so I can brag about my gets! Thanks for reading!

I've heard this before on this board but is that confirmed? The part about anything above Acceptable is going to be CIB? Or is that just personal experience?

I canceled an order on Ebay that was posted New after reading the small description at the bottom stating edge of case taped! Even though there might be a rule standard, many sellers do not follow it. You can always open a dispute after receiving, but a hassle. This is how I got the order canceled before it was shipped, mentioned did not want to open a dispute with the buyer by Email in advance.

Online shopping a double edged sword. You save on gas but spend extra on postage and not seeing the product up front in person. The hunt part of the fun discovering other games that may not be set by high online prices.

Amazon Warehouse is run by amazon so anything above acceptable should be complete in box as per their listing requirements. Here is their store front for games.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_nr_i_17? ... 1453600489

Since they are first party they are pretty reliable and returns are really easy. Just make sure the sellers is AWD when you purchase it since if you end up in the general listings there are a bunch of third party sellers. If using the store front you should only see their listings but if you want to be doubly sure just make sure the seller is shown as this on the listing.

That being said always read their descriptions anything above good will usually say this "Includes manual, cover art, and packaging. Bonus downloadable content may have already been redeemed." So in the event that it came missing a manual or something then you simply hit return and they immediately give you a label to send it back for a refund. The only catch to their descriptions is older games if you ever see the term "factory sealed" in one of their descriptions it usually means they sealed it at the warehouse which on occasion means cartridge only or disc only in a replacement case and they will occasionally list those as "like new" with or without mentioning that it's "not in original packaging". If they don't specifically mention that something is missing though you have grounds for a return which is pretty fast/easy. The only downside is after an unknown number of returns they deem you as a "trouble" customer and cut you off as part of loss prevention since there are alot of people that abuse the shit out of returns on there :P. As far as acceptable stuff goes also take into account that "May be missing one of the following: manual, cover art, or packaging" really means missing all of the following 90% of the time

In the past 6 months I've ordered 187 items the majority of which were used games and I maybe had to return 2-3 of them for a refund.

This year for me has been the year of as far as gaming goes Sega, GB/C/A aside Nintendo I've given the total brush off due to the market.

The month of April though has been the month of the blue Game Gear. A couple weeks back I picked up a blue one with 5 commons (1 I used as a break open test, useless football game), official sega power plug and car adapter too. It had XMEN, Lion King, MK2, World Series Baseball as the keepers all for $30. Sound is great, screen once it warms up is too, but I've picked up a LED kit and cap kit for it online.

Since then I've been mixing up snapping up things on (more or less lots) and offline and I'm up to about 30 games at little real cost.

Online I've picked up the EU release of Wonderboy 3 Dragon's Trap (most I've paid yet at 15 shipped from the Netherlands, crazy thing showed up within 5 days too!) And then I grabbed Wonderboy (Revenge of Drancon), and also the Adventures of Batman and Robin as one offs. The rest were lots. A 7 game $20 lot had Aerial Assault(personal favorite), Bust-A-Move, ECCO, NHL (CIB), Castle of Illusion, MK1, and Jurassic Park. I got a $7 4 game lot of Sonic 2, Sonic Spinball, G-Loc, and Columns. And then one last 6 game lot with Shinobi 2, Ninja Gaiden(personal favorite again), Devilish, Junction, Dragon Crystal, and Crystal Warriors for $33.

Locally I've found and not paying more than $5/game too. And those would be little lots as well really. Today for $12 was Dynamite Headdy+Fantazy Zone+Land of Illusion. Last weekend for $15 was Fatal Fury Special, Samurai Shodown, Sonic Chaos and Streets of Rage. I did buy one when I got my Blaster transformer during the week for $5 -- Streets of Rage 2. That should cover it.

Not bad? I'm still learning the ropes on the values on these and if they suck or not trying not to pick up bad stuff.

EDIT for Sunday -- Paid $9 taxed at a store got 13 Game Gear game cases and NBA Jam TE. Out at the flea also paid $12 and got Double Dragon + Ecco 2 too. Also was given a Light Boy which works by someone I know along with a stand alone nikon coolpix s3000 camera which is an unknown as it needs charging.

I picked up some other odd stuff like a couple game & Watch game manuals, couple of those mario galaxy commemorative coins (I'll keep one), and a loose copy of gc mario kart. Can't use it though so I'll end up selling it on ebay so I can get something I can use.

Found a cart only copy of Frogger on GBC for 25 cents at a garage sale Saturday morning.
Later, we were buying pool salt and my wife made a joke of me being a tetris master. Which lead to a conversation with one of the guys in the store about videogames. He offered to load our vehicle, so I used Frogger to tip him. He was stoked.

I also picked up some trade fodder in Capcom Arcade and Midway Treasures 1&2 for the PS2.
