Shining Force CD and the Lunar games would like to have a word with you.

I agree that the 32x was pretty ass. But you can't say your Genesis is complete until you have the full monster sitting on the shelf.

I own a model 2 IMO it is the best one because its easier to find and its not too big or too small,I seen a model 2 at Play n Trade for $20.

Get a model 2 with the Sega CD and 32X and get a model 3 for convenience. I leave the Gen/CD/32X all connected and on the shelf and only hook it up when I am going through a "Genesis phase" and whip out the Genny 3 when I need a quick Sonic fix.

Of course, when I get my gaming room set up the Genesis 3 will be relegated to travel duty, which it is well suited for.

I like your way of thinking. I actually do not own a Genesis 3, but seeing as I have a the monster all assembled, it really turns me off from playing just an ordinary Genesis cartridge. Hell, I'm advising others, when I should be getting one myself!

Damnit, I had one that said high definition graphics but I got a better looking model one without that and I thought there was no difference so I sold the first one. :(

I'm not a big fan of the third model. It's TOO small lol, and the power and a/v wires are on the side which is very annoying when the console doesn't weigh anything!

I'm a model 1 guy, but pretty much because that's the model I had back in the day. I really have no desire to get the CD or 32x though except of course if I want to bang my head agaisnt the wall playing Night Trap.

The CDX is the way to go if you can afford it. Nice and compact all in one. Having my Sega tower of power hooked up with three power adapters just makes my power bill cry. If your going straight genesis Model One all the way the headphone jack is the tits!
