Most people should be getting them this week. If you ordered more then 1 though they are shipping those out last so it will take longer. They didn't really give me any email notices after I preordered and didn't even confirm my preorder so it was a total surprise when it showed up in the mail. It's in a custom shipping box so you will notice it immediately when it gets there.

That's how I felt when I got an Australian copy of Project Zero 2: Wii Edition in the mail. I decided to open it because I REALLY wanted to play that game.

Dude just open it. It's a game, if you love it that much play it. It does no one any good being a piece of wall art. Or if you must, buy another one loose/used and then you won't have to rip it open.

Personally I made one exception to that rule of not opening stuff, but it's because it's a spare and that's Metroid. I've got an (according to an NA 'expert' on grading) a nice 85+ gold quality yellow release Metroid I have in a shadow box over my tv on the wall but I still have my original release game and manual from the 80s so it's good.

I do have a sealed FF5 Advance, but whenever I can get the motivation and time for it that wrap is coming off, or I'll swap it with a nice open box copy. Same goes with Retro City Rampage physical release on PS4. I'll either sell it or keep it, haven't decided, as I already have a usable copy.

Anyway I had a nice surprise come in the mail yesterday, probably nothing too amusing to anyone here but 2 lots of Game Gear games (total: 11) showed up in the mail. Set me back around $30 between the two but with shipping they average around 2.75/ea which is great.

Aerial Assault, Bust a Move, Castle of Illusion, Columns, Ecco, G-Loc, Jurassic Park, Mortal Kombat, NHL Allstar, Soinc Spinball, Sonic 2

Over the weekend I ended up for $30 with a blue game gear, ac adapter, car charger and also MK2, X-Men, World Series Baseball, and Lion King. All around a nice selection of stuff.

Well, I'm pretty sure there's no buying an extra of Summon Night 5, it was a game you had to preorder to get the physical copy, and I'm pretty sure that's the only run they're going to do. I don't know what the numbers were, but I'd wager they're not high.

Plus, I can already play it since I have access to the digital version. Thanks, Vic Ireland! If it were the only way I could play it, it wouldn't be a conundrum.

If you already have a digital copy, I'd say keep it sealed, at least until your gamer gut tells you definitively one thing or another. I, personally, will always play a physical version even if I have it digitally, but that's a very personal preference. Err on the side of caution if you can already play it, though; you can always unwrap a game later, but you can never rewrap it (I mean, I guess you CAN, but it'll never be a legit factory seal).

Yeah keep it sealed then, at least while your digital rental copy works out for you. It's how I am set with Retro City Rampage DX as I said. I probably should sell it as I don't care since I have it physically speaking still if I burned a GOG copy of it to a disc, so the other foo foo is not important to me on a title like that. It still surprises me how much people pay for that game but it did only get a 4000 copy run that went on and off sale almost immediately.

Zillion II CIB $9 - pretty good deal

Dynamite Headdy CB $13 - good deal here too, and it feels oh so sweet to complete a game. Had the manual in a pile of odds and ends for probably 2-3 years.

Both are slightly banged up but nothing crazy.

Dynamite Headdy is a great game, but the US version is marred by the difficulty. It's brutal.
