Thanks, Elkin! I was fully expecting to have to pay $50+ for that game to complete my PS2 collection...which kind-of stinks because I already own the PSP and Wii versions. Finding it for $0.52 really made my day. (It was in a pawn shop's basket of discounted DVDs and video games...the vast majority of which are dated seventh generation sports games. I really did not expect to see Metal Slug Anthology in there!)ElkinFencer10 wrote:Can we get back to how AMAZING this is? Not only is that a good price for any CIB game, but such a damn amazing one at that.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I grabbed a CIB copy of Metal Slug Anthology (PS2) this morning for $0.52(!), or roughly 1% of its market price. It completes my collection of SNK anthologies on the PS2, and I am very happy with my purchase.

Yeah it's definitely a great find. Gotta love pawnshops. They are my favorite place for finds around here sadly I have to consider the fact that 50+% of my good finds there are probably stolen property
.

So anyways, should I buy that controller? Its $95 a bit cheaper then EBay listings. That 3d Imager CIB is so rare and I already have the 3d game carts waiting for it, my wife would kill me.

Would your wife kill you when you show her the markup it's possible to sell it for?CRTGAMER wrote:So anyways, should I buy that controller? Its $95 a bit cheaper then EBay listings. That 3d Imager CIB is so rare and I already have the 3d game carts waiting for it, my wife would kill me.
This is how I once justified buying eight sealed copies of Metroid Prime Trilogy when they randomly showed up at a bizarre low price in a Swedish Electrical retailer about a year after the game was discontinued and going for megabucks on Amazon.
Seriously, if something will hold its value in the way that many games do then I don't see the problem in spending the money unless that money is needed right away for something else.
The real question is, do you have the disposable income. If you do then i'ts a no-brainer as you can always recoup it on ebay later.
Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Had a nice break on a game pick up worth mentioning and showing this weekend. Found a 10pm Saturday night post for a game gear with a few games/accessories for $40 so I wrote the guy. Got ahold of him around noon on Sunday, ended up the screen I think is starting to show cap problems, audio is great though, and other than one scuff in the view area it's shiny nice. It's been in storage for like 25 years lost in a closet until days ago. Due to it needing cap replacement I got it for $30.
It came with a Blue Game Gear - Lion King, MK1, X-Men, World Series Baseball, and meh NFL. Has a sega ac adapter and also the car power jack too along with the tray that should go in one of those black fold over Sega carry cases.
Any idea how to buff out that scratch if it's possible? I haven't had luck yet with Novus kit 1-3 grade I have for my pinball machines.
I've got a kit coming in the mail to put LEDs into it which will greatly add battery life and also better brighten and more evenly so the screen. Also a cap repair kid for the board in this too and a friend willing to do it.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Was feeling like treasure hunting today and hit up a couple Goodwills. Whole lot of nothing for the most part, and what games they did have seemed to be asking ebay prices.
Had a boxed copy of GTA 5 for 5 bucks etc. Had a boxed PC copy of Sims 3 for 4 bucks which I actually wanted but then opened it up and it had a Sim City disc in it lol.
Only thing I walked out with was Grim Fandango for 2 bucks, and seasons 1 and 2 of Entourage on DVD. Not great but always wanted to play it and for two bucks I'll take it lol

Yard Sale find! Not a fan of Pokémon but knew it had some value. Everything seems to work fine.

Re: Video Game "Look what I found"
Lately I haven't found crap except for a gba so 101 for ten dollars other than that Worcester area is dry. And when I do find something either game is missing or people like my goodwill over price the stuff. How are you going to charge me 13.99 for soul calibur 2 on the ps2? And gta 3 and vice city each for ten? You got that for free
