Amazing how Blizzard keeps at it but there's another minor update to the 1.14a update they did last month to keep diablo 2 alive on modern 64bit computers.
They did a few fixes to frame rate, mercenaries and some mac junk, link has more details.

Do any of you still play this single or multiplayer? I've never taken it online all these years but I do enjoy doing offline ever so often.

yeah, I'm always commending Blizzard's commitment to their fans.
I have Diablo and Diablo III, but not II.

I wish I could run the old Diablo, in some ways I did prefer it (really liked it on PS1 due to gamepad use.) It's just too old and unsupported. D3 I got a little over a year ago at a black friday sale and that worked out really well, played that out with 2 characters and while visually nicer it's inferior to D2.
I found by copying over my files it still allows no use of CD, and there's an updated glide wrapper out there now meant for it that gets it up to 800x600 full screen (with side borders to keep it 1:1), fast and looking good.
