I thought it will be cool to play the 32x games but I remember the games being better than I thought when I played them.
I guess that's what happens when nostalgia comes to play. I remember having a blast with the wwf arcade and after burner and mk2, wwf raw and a couple of others but after playing them not so much. Ohh well. At least I can see the ps1 games going to a good home and not just sitting on my shelf saying look what I got
Yeah the 32X is really one of those things you have just to have it. Now of course there are some okay games on it, but the library is kinda piss poor overall. Plus at the time of release having Doom and Star Wars Arcade blew my mind. Now there's not much reason to care.

It's just as unnecessary today as the day it was released. The 32X was the only video game thing my parents ever bought me as a gift that I knew was probably a waste and I was only asking because again, I had to have it.

I think the "virtua" games on 32X are pretty good, but I also think they're pretty good on other consoles too.

Played some Xmen 2 tonight with my cousin. This game is so good but kicks me around. I want to be good at this! Now I'm currently watching him and my wife play Zombies ate my Neighbors

I would have totally gotten Super Turbo on the 32x. Love the official 6-button. At least I have it on Saturn.

Tanooki, what makes the Genesis port of "CE" more official, other than name? I thought that both ports had the same modes.

Virtua Racing Deluxe is the best port.

Hmmmmm.....I'm not so sure...Have you played the PS2 port? It lacks some of the extra features available in the 32X and Saturn ports, but it is basically arcade-perfect. (In fact, it actually runs at a slightly higher resolution and at a full 60 FPS.)

I meant it by name basically as Genesis got that, SNES went to Turbo but you could slow the thing down and it was CE anyway just as on Genesis you could speed it up.

Oh and I guess it's preference, but even if it isn't accurate I still love the speed and feel of the Genesis Virtua Racing so when I got another last November that one I picked up pretty quickly as I found one for a few bucks at an indoor retailer at the flea market in the junk box with other sports titles.

aaron wrote:The asciiware power clutch sg is a pretty basic stick but i use it for all of my shmup needs on my genesis. it only comes in 3 button flavors so it wouldn't be that great for fighting games, but it's got a good heavy base with solid buttons and a tight stick.
I picked up a Power Clutch SG (only $8.00 at swap meet) and gave 32X Shadow Squadron another go. Though no digital click switches, surprised how accurate the short throw stick responds with a very stable weighted base. Really so much better then the Genesis pad playing the Space Arcade Simulator.

Built in Auto fire range control (red LED flash shows fire speed) for the three face buttons, this stick is sweet! I can see many Genesis games (that don'y need six buttons) gaining from this controller.

A tease, I have a vintage tabletop console that works perfect with this!

The Sega 32x gives me an erection. It's like knowing Swahili; it's super cool but utterly useless in most situations.

I had no idea it was on the PS2. I just watched a video and I'm not sure if I could get used to that 60 fps. I played this game for real. A LOT. I miss the old Gametap subscription service; they had not only 32x games like VIRT-YA RACING Deluxe, but also Saturn and Dreamcast games, emulated, no joke.

I'd stay far away from Zaxxon's Motherbase 2000, however.
