Yeah all the anime I was watching just ended for the season. Finished ERASED, Fairy Tail 2014, KONOSUBA, GATE 2, GRIMGAR.

I'll have to get some new stuff to watch. I guess that Phoenix Wright anime sounds interesting and I probably should also finish watching Dimension W as well. It's interesting enough, I guess.

Yeah I just finished Konosuba, Gate, and Grimgar as well. Dimension W gets a little crazy towards the end but they manage to wrap things up pretty well.

I'll plan on catching up on Fairy Tail soon now that this season has ended. I've checked some filler guides and luckily looks like it only has one big filler arc. I was afraid this season was going to have a lot more junky filler. The huge filler arc in the first season with that blonde girl was so freaking bad, it soured the show for me for a long time even haha... it was painful week to week.

I find it hilarious that Shippuuden is still going with filler. What a freaking joke. The 4th war shinobi arc is probably the worst shounen arc I've ever seen. But I never really had any high love for the series in the first place, most of the characters freaking suck! Sasuke is by far one of my least favorites ever. To me, the series peaked with the Pain arc.

Just started Tokyo Magnitude 8 I like disasters flicks so this has been on my radar a while. Episode 1 was really slow but it was really just one of those calm before the storm build up episodes with all hell breaking loose at the end. Episode 2 looks like it will be the start of all the juicy bits. The show is one of those what if scenarios centered around what it might be like if a magnitude 8 earthquake hit Tokyo. I can feel some feels coming though main characters are a middle school girl and her younger brother so hopefully they don't go Grave of the Fireflies style and get me uber depressed by the end.

Also started My Hero Academia which started airing Saturday or Sunday. It's got kind of a one punch man vibe going with a society full of super heroes. Basically 80% or so of the population has super powers and it's been that way for a few decades so everyones used to it. The main character however is one of the few regular humans left and yet he still wants to be a hero. Hopefully it doesn't get to cliche but it seems interesting so far. Makes me miss One Punch Man I really can't wait for them to pump out another season.

Finally I finished up Schwarzesmarken overall it wasn't a bad show, but it the story just got a little to bogged down in politics. It also had a really hard time with the romance as well with the main character having multiple love interest none of which every really clicked and there is one really awkward/creepy relationship. The Mecha action was pretty good but it really felt like it took a back seat to the politics which are pretty much cold war east Germany being torn between the KGB and a internal basically Nazi party. While a small rebel faction trying to reunify Germany in secret. Oh and there is an alien infestation thats been plaguing the world for a few decades now but that can just sit on the side while the nazi's and commies fight over who gets to control the constantly about the be over run East Germany  .

I watched that one a few years ago, I don't remember a whole lot about it though. I remember enjoying it, but the show never got as dark and dramatic as I expected it to. Still totally worth watching just because the subject matter isn't typical anime plot 101. If you do enjoy the show, you might enjoy this:

As it deals with disasters and disaster aid, but was a better show than TM8.

Lately, I've been going back in time and watching anime from the 80s and 90s I missed. Like one shot OVAs or OVA series that I'd always meant to see, but forgot about honestly. Right now I'm watching Mad Bull 34, and it's so politically incorrect it's almost shocking. But I've enjoyed it so far just because it's so full of machismo bravado you have to admire its gusto. I'll watch Riding Bean after that.

Yeah people are dying all around them but the main characters are pretty damn upbeat so the show doesn't feel all that dark. I mean there has been a hell of a lot of deaths so far but nothing really hits to hard since it's random people that just happen to be nearby the character. There are also some probably very famous structures and buildings going down, but never having been to Tokyo it's nothing I'm super familiar with so it's just disaster porn to me.

The only really kind of negative thing going on is people being dicks. The main characters are constantly getting knocked into, shoved, and generally ignored by everyone aside from the new adult character that is super positive and helping them get home. Although I'm kind of surprised at how calm the people are I was expecting the people to be a lot more desperate but then again that will probably happen later as conditions continue to get worse.

There's a Gunsmith Cats OVA as well, they tie in. Both are awesome.

Riding Bean has some of the most epic car sex you'll see in anime (insane mechanical detailing).

Thanks for the heads up on Gunsmith Cats, I'll add that to the queue.

If you've got any suggestions for really good (and short-ish) 80s/90s OVAs I'm listening. Chances are you've seen some good stuff I missed.
