I'd never even thought before how modern gaming media caters to retro gamers, so that question really stumped me. But thinking about it, they do a pretty good job. It seems like Sony and Nintendo really try to get all of the really weird/obscure/expensive games they possibly can on their respective virtual consoles, which is VERY convenient for any fan of PSOne or SNES RPGs who doesn't want to spend a month or two's gaming budget on just one game.
