Video Game Remix Quiz!

Just like Hiki points out we are a group of friends that sometimes meet up just to play video game music quizes which focuses on being fast instead of knowing the song or not. Because that kind of competition have been around for ages for me now, whenever I play new games I really try to listen more to the music while playing in order to secure more points while playing our VGM quizzes. Whenever I'm not playing I'm also listening a lot to VGM since I think there are some tracks out there that really deserves being on my music play list.

The answers... and I was tempted to give partial credit on the Star Fox song because it did kinda smush up voice samples from 64 with the SNES Corneria theme... but it wouldn't have affected the results anyway. And if I tallied something wrong, let me know!

Again, if a game's tune showed up in multiple games, I gave credit for that... like F-Zero. I also tried to include album/artist information as well in case y'all might want to track some of these down. I probably listen to more remixed game music than I do "real" music...

KILLER INSTICT. AGH! That one was making me crazy! I was singing along to it and everything, but would not have been able to dig that out of my brain.

I have to say, I really liked this take on the quiz. It took more pondering and careful listening.

I definitely want to put together one of these games for you guys, but I won't be able to until Sunday or Monday. If someone else wants to step in before then, be my guest! But if not, I'll throw something together. I'm thinking an all-Genesis list!

Thanks for the quiz once again Sarge. Like I mentioned in my first post it was a nice (re)mix of things to only have remixes since you can't pinpoint the game let alone the format instantly at times.

As always I'm looking forward to the next quiz, if it's a "Mega drive & Master system" one you guys can be sure to find me in the bottoms. I have been trying to play more of at least the MD in recent years but are still lightyears behind where I want to be. Hopefully there are some nice tracks that inspire future playthroughs of games
