Yes you can patch on either device -- The Retron 5 will NOT work with any flash kits and most multicart pirates too. It needs to have a CRC coded into it that is a match for the bootleg or it will fail (at least for NES/SNES stuff, not sure on others.)Xeogred wrote:Oh yeah, can't you patch games?

I know well of the cheating orange car that gets up to LUDICROUS SPEED if you target him too much with the missiles/bombs. Its pushing close to $100 these days, only reason I know is that I priced it out a day or two ago and I'm going to be selling it as I don't want to hang onto it anymore as I don't see my kid taking interest in it at all and playing it alone the AI is just cheap and annoying beyond my tolerance level.

I think I paid in the $35-40 range but it had also the manual with it, but it was kinda messed up with rental stickers. Believe it or not I actually was able to slowly scrape every single one of them off the manual without lifting a spot of ink, but i sold that probably 1-2 years back when I saw no point in keeping it. The game has some crap etched on the front on the side bars of plastic Paco-Man (C being like pac-man) and then the rental number on the other side near the sticker. Kind of sucks, but given the damage I've seen stuff sell on ebay for it doesn't hurt the price much since it's more rare to find.

Seriously what do you do with all that stuff you flash every few days? Home museum? Do you sell the stuff, store it away like in a crypt? No way the hours in a lifetime is possible for what keeps coming down the pipe month after month.
