It's a bit sleazy, I think, but so is the entire system of capitalism (IMO). Nothing wrong with it, but it's perhaps not the most tasteful way to go about it.

Dick move. Guy is entitled to do it, because that's how capitalism works, but it clearly looks bad on him.
I used to sell things at discount prices to people who seem to love the hobbies I do. You know, just to share the love a little bit. I don't do that any longer because of my interactions with resellers. Half the time I don't even trust that people buying stuff from me even care about the hobby because I've dealt with so many resellers who only care about turning a quick buck.
Some people say "it doesn't hurt anyone" because the first seller got their asking price. I tend to disagree, because it does hurt anyone who would have purchased and enjoyed the system at the first price and can't afford an immediate 300% markup.

I won't do it anymore due to how far things have slid in the last 3 years. Well that's a bit black and white, there have been select occasions but it's a surprise I do it and I don't telegraph it coming. I know I've seen a comment or two here and elsewhere how some people have found facebook groups (somehow) that are normal gamer/collector friendly which won't stand for douchebags who flip and in turn they sell stuff at decent to strong community level discounts so people can try out and enjoy stuff from many varying price tiers on lots of systems. If I were a part of a space like that I would resume my old habit but as it is now, no. It's sad but I look at how I price stuff not even as much as I have into it, but how low can I go before the resale value is worth it to someone to use me to make money and that's the cut off.
