You are going to run into some problems with games that good rips do not exist of - ie Keriotosse for the Saturn, and games that require other hardware to work - ie King of Fighters 96 on the Saturn and its specfic ram cart (sorry been working on my Saturns).
The next question is are you going to take it to the next level and do a dvd case with case art for each one?

Re: Am I insane?!?!?! **Game related**
Less disc swapping is the primary reason. I can have the PS1 games in the PS1 and the PS2 games in the PS2. Plus there's the value of impressing people. My PS3 is the 60 GB model anyway, so I don't need either first gen one hooked up, but it just looks cooler. And my PS1 is a custom painted one with Fei from Xenogears, so I'm obligated to keep it on display.Jrecee wrote:What's the point of having the gamecube and ps1 hooked up if you've got the wii and ps2? Then again I hate going through that stupid wii menu to play a gamecube game. . . my question on the ps1 remains though.

I understand there will be **problems** with games with no known rip and games that can;t be emulated and such. However, every game that cannot be emulated/burned correctly, I will buy, having a complete collection. (well as complete as I can get it). As for KoF and such, I also plan to buy all necessary things in order to play them.fast wrote:You are going to run into some problems with games that good rips do not exist of - ie Keriotosse for the Saturn, and games that require other hardware to work - ie King of Fighters 96 on the Saturn and its specfic ram cart (sorry been working on my Saturns).

As for a DVD case... hell no!!!!! Haha, I do have CD binders for each system with the games in alphabetical order, and labeled by me. On the cover of each binder will be laminated piece of paper with what system it is, what region, and every game that it included in the binder. Each game is labeled a certain way... which is
Game Name (Region)
[System]
Example:
Alone in the Dark - The New Nightmare - Disk 1 (US)
[PSX]

I figured as much - it still ribes me that I cant get a working copy of Keriotosse.
Best of luck.

It's easier to play PS1 rips and imports on the PS1, in my experience. Also, there are some games that do not play properly on PS2/3, most notably Tomba, which has a save glitch. I've also heard the Lunar games have some malfunctions on systems other than PS1, and that MK Trilogy just won't play play at all on the PS2/3.Jrecee wrote:What's the point of having the gamecube and ps1 hooked up if you've got the wii and ps2? As for the Gamecube, pretty much any peripheral based game will not play on the Wii. I keep my Gamecube purely because of the GBA Player.

While you're doing all this work anyway, you ought to document it and put up a site. You know, what games had issues, how you fixed them, what games you couldn't get to work... etc.

Wow, thats so awesome! I am actually attempting to do the same thing.
I have a lot of mods and flash carts, but still a few more to go, as well as systems. After that i'll start burning the cd based games. One tip though, try to use Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim discs (japanese made only) as these are top quality. If youre burning and playing tons of games, your consoles lasers will die out pretty quickly, even more so if youre burning with bad discs.
Also, I would suggest using HDLoader with a big hdd for your ps2. That way for most games it can take a lot of stress off your ps2's optical drive. Not all games work of course, so those ones can be burned to a disc.
Anyways, I can't wait to see pics of your setup. Sounds like youre much further along than I am. Money is holding me back
