And some of our (okay, really just my) complete inability to exercise any restraint or self-control whatsoever with spending on video games regardless of income or budget constraints.

Found a gameboy game today for like $3 I never heard of before but a very quick search showed it was an appreciated(by those who know of it) shooter called Aerostar. I hope it's fun but for that price I like the gamble.

$5 and below is my "Probably never going to say no" threshold for a previously unknown-to-me game that looks/sounds interesting.

That's what mine is unless I have a general idea then I'd be happy to double that knowing a decent chance I'd be ok with it, though even at that level I'd hope I could at least if I hate it break even.

I need to fire it up, trying to clear my plate. Over a month ago I got at a killer deal the 27 box set of Claymore (manga) and I'm like 1 and 1/5th books left and I have 2 Ranma 1/2's sitting around too. Also got a 550~ piece lego set I need to knock out on the table.


EDIT: I tried out Aerostar. Definitely keeping it, the game is just fun and bizarre. It's a vertical shooter but with an odd twist. It's kind of like those old games where you run along various solid and broken paths, and have to jump between them. But unlike say the DOS classic Skyroads where it was fast and third person, this one is slow and overhead. Just like Skyroads you either fall and die or jump to the next. You can hold down jump and longer you do (bar falls down steady to 0 then you drop if up too long) you're good, but you can get shot down, and you can't fire while up. Down though, it's like a shooter with various weapons and even a dual buddy option, and some weapons are unique. The laser goes forward the longer you hold, let up, it pulls a 90 outwards, good for strategy.

Not only that, but you bought a pervert game for a pervert system? Well, I mean, it's not just pervert stuff, it's like, a beat 'em up. Yeah, you see, it's for the fighting! I just ordered it on PS4 so I could get in before the Prime discount window ended. I REALLY need to stop spending money, but I'm just so bad at it.

I played Senran Kagura Burst for 3DS, but got bored and quit about halfway through. Maybe playing this new one on PS4 will hold my interest better.
