Conversely I could just call for another vote too, since I am unable to play the winner of my previous.Exhuminator wrote:By process of elimination, based on community voting, and availability of deterministic choices, you must play SUPER NINJA BOY next. To not do so, puts the entire imposed hierarchical infrastructure of this thread into jeopardy.

Re: The People's Choice Thread
Hmm, notion granted. Considering your PC is out of commission, it would make sense to reconstitute a new candidate list consisting of just SNES RPGs.Ack wrote:Conversely I could just call for another vote too, since I am unable to play the winner of my previous.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: The People's Choice Thread
I need to not play Fire Emblem for quite a while. I have a number of options that I'm considering, in order to achieve this. I'm curious what others feel the right choice is between:
Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes - Genesis (I'm about at the midway point of this)
Surging Aura - Genesis
Megami Tensei II - SNES
Dark Half - SNES
Red Aremer II (Gargoyle's Quest II) - NES
Terra Phantasica - Saturn
Sakura Taisen - Saturn
Langrisser - Saturn
Emerald Dragon - PCE CD
Jaseiken Necromancer - PCE

Re: The People's Choice Thread
Nice list.
I'm gonna be selfish and say Terra Phantastica as it's the only one I haven't played and am interested in hearing about it.

Re: The People's Choice Thread
The one I'm most familiar with is Gargoyle's Quest II, so I'll recommend that.
I've played a few of these on the SD2SNES, and I've heard of others. I can't believe there isn't an English patch for Surging Aura, there's a French and Russian translation out there!

Re: The People's Choice Thread
The only one I've beaten out of your list. So, I recommend it by default. I enjoyed it though, and I thought it was a decent sequel to my all time favorite Game Boy game.pierrot wrote:Red Aremer II (Gargoyle's Quest II) - NES

I recommend playing the Game Boy version of Gargoyle's Quest II however. That being Makaimura Gaiden: The Demon Darkness, as it has two extra levels over the NES. It's available in English:
