Lagoon is done.

Damn the last few bosses are tough. The hit detection is atrocious.

I feel like knocking off another shorty ARPG.

Original Dragon Slayer! Just not the one of the Game Boy (or Gaiden).

Also, Sload Soap is right, the Monster World games are some of the greatest games ever made. Good call, Sload.

Brah I have slayed dem dragons so many times. I have the Saturn version.

What's your aversion to the one on Game Boy? Or Gaiden for that matter?

I don't want to live in a world where the heroes movements don't cause "The Entertainer" to play a note at a time, for each key press. No, sir!

And sorry guyz, didn't mean to derail things and create a "what should I play next" discussion... Especially since we now have a dedicated thread for that.

Oh, and after some thought I decided to jump back into Phantasy Star Online. For awhile I've considered this a top ten RPG but I think it's now time to admit that it's crossed into my top five.

So I dived back into Dragon Warrior today. Made some pretty significant progress I think.

First of all, I progressed from level 8 to level 11. I'm liking the Radiant spell, it's really handy.

I also picked up the Full Plate armour (costing 3000), Large Shield (800) and the Broad Sword (costing 1500). That's the best stuff I've found so far.

Next up, I found a shop that sold Magic Keys. This seems the be the requirement to actually DO something in Dragon Warrior, as once I got hold of these real progress started to happen.

I found myself a sun crystal or some such in Tentagel Castle cellar. Then, I defeated the Green Dragon and rescued the princess (love that you carry her all the way home). Finally, I found the Silver harp in the grave at Giranham and traded it for a Rain Staff near Kol. I also found a Fairy Flute in Kol too based on a tip someone gave me at the town I got the keys in.

I'm pretty sure I need to take the Sun and Rain things to a temple in the southeast. I'll probably do that next time I play. I still need to explore the area to the southwest of the map too.

I think I'm near the end, but I have a feeling lots of grinding is in my future.
