Well played Exhuminator. Never seen that before.
Reminds me I need to get that new parts multicart from last year all over now that has Rockboard on it in english among other things.
Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Ditto. Megaman was the icon of my childhood, not Mario or Sonic.
PS reminder that I got Mr Perfect in Megaman 10. /smugsmiley

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
That is insane! I consider myself a mega man fanatic and I have never got Mr perfect
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Megaman is the one series I have to brag a little about. My brain can never compute when some of my friends or others talk about how hard these games are to them and they can't do it haha. Been playing them since I was 3 though so I guess that did something.
Admittedly you can save in between levels... but you cannot save in between the boss rush + Wily + his usual multiple forms. So you have to flawlessly get through like 10 boss encounters in one go. It was that part alone that took me like a week to conquer.
I got all the achievements in MM9 so I was relentless about doing it again with MM10, haha.
Now I kind of want to do it again since I bought them again on my PS3... but yeah, not sure. lmao
On this note, did anyone get the Legacy Collection? It seems kind of lame, but I'm a sucker for quadruple dipping for Capcom re-releases so I'm curious about it.

I thought about getting the 3DS version but I just don't feel it's worth it when I have the anniversary collection.Xeogred wrote:On this note, did anyone get the Legacy Collection? It seems kind of lame, but I'm a sucker for quadruple dipping for Capcom re-releases so I'm curious about it.

Yeah that's the thing. 2-4 less games (if you count those fighters) for the Legacy Collection. It's like they pulled Nintendo logic and tried to put as little as possible on a collection that should be way more. Seriously why couldn't it have had 1-10 and Megaman & Bass or something?strangenova wrote:I thought about getting the 3DS version but I just don't feel it's worth it when I have the anniversary collection.Xeogred wrote:On this note, did anyone get the Legacy Collection? On a side note, probably a more POPULAR opinion, but despite my insane love for most things Megaman, I still haven't even touched X7 and probably never will. X8 itself left a sour taste since it had that nasty pseudo 2D/3D polygon thing going on. And Vile came back but was green! WTF! Horrible last boss with death pits too.
I'm actually a fan of X6 though. Even though there's no denying some of the level design is completely broken with spike traps that aren't displayed on screen, just awful placement in a lot of areas. It's still great gameplay for the most part though, and killer music. The story really hit an all time low here though, but I actually liked some of the ideas X5 had going.
Overall I'm probably a bigger classic Megaman fan, but I definitely love most of the X games as well, and the Zero series.

Yes to all this! It makes no sense to short change the collection! The only thing I can think is that they didn't want to take the time to update 7 & 8.Xeogred wrote:Yeah that's the thing. 2-4 less games (if you count those fighters) for the Legacy Collection. And you must be reading my mind on the X series cause I've never played X7, hated X8 and loved X6
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
I remember ZX being easier than the Zero games? (which I'd say are tougher than the average Megaman title). Don't think I played Advent. I... don't recall being a big fan of ZX. The Megaman take on Metroidvania has been kind of awkward to me. I didn't like how Zero 1 was designed either and was glad that was dropped with the sequels. Seriously haven't played ZX since it released though, I should give it another shot. Nothing I'd call bad, but it didn't really leave any impression on me.Exhuminator wrote:Do you feel this way about the Mega Man ZX and ZX Advent games?Xeogred wrote:My brain can never compute when some of my friends or others talk about how hard these games are to them and they can't do it haha.
The Xtreme GBC games can never be mentioned enough though, for some epic hidden gems. Along with V on the GB. Freaking great games.
Do you guys say Megaman, or Mega Man? I've always preferred Megaman, even though I can see how it's more than likely Mega Man.
