Don't you consider the ones on the SNES and Genesis to be new?BoneSnapDeez wrote:Damn I can't keep track of all these new Shadowrun games.

Nah those are retro.
That CD-ROM based game released in 1996, however... Still trying to wrap my head around that technology.
Seriously though, the last Shadowrun game I played was that weird FPS one on Xbox 360. Are these new digital ones good?

They're quite good. Isometric RPGs with a combat system inspired by the new XCOM games.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Nah those are retro.

Forget the FPS Shadowrun from 2007 or so. There are three new big ones at this point: Shadowrun Returns, Shadowrun: Dragonfall, and Shadowrun: Hong Kong. These are a direction continuation of Shadowrun for the SNES and Shadowrun on the Genesis, and there is overlap between the new ones, though so far it appears to be minor between Returns and Dragonfall. If you take an interest in playing them, Bone, I'd say do it in release order.
I really like cyberpunk and had a blast last year when I played through the SNES Shadowrun and then Returns a few months later. I'm always happy to go back to futuristic filth.

Heh, look like my weekly game buddies are moving into Grim Dawn since we've had access to the beta and the game officially releases today. This should be fun.

Do it. It's like a six hours long.
Do you like computer ARPGs (Ys, Xak, Hydlide, Brandish, etc)? It's that type of game.
