A weird thing I've heard is that Hero Mode is mirrored like the Wii version. Which, ironically wouldn't bother me because I played the Wii version. What I want to know is if Hero mode is unlocked from the beginning? It sounds amazing and I recall TP being quite possibly the easiest 3D Zelda.

I could have sworn I read you had to earn it like in other games, but maybe not.

It is odd that Wii mode basically is used for hero mode, not that I personally care, the Wii game was tacked together with problematic control while the GC game was just right.

I think it's available from the beginning. Although I actually have no idea. Give me 10 minutes and I'll check :P

Hero mode is available from the start in both Wind Waker HD and Twilight Princess HD. You have to beat the game to unlock it in Link Between Worlds and Skyward Sword though.

Have they inserted a Nabbit into the TP remake? After seeing him so prevalent in LbW and NSMBU, it feels like he needs to be in every Nintendo game now. He can just be new Midna XD

I got my eBayed Wii U just now. The gamepad was pretty dusty but otherwise everything looks fine. I'm guessing this didn't get a lot of use, hence putting it on eBay.

I'm downloading the texture packs for Xenoblade Chronicles X right now. I won't be able to dive into any games until late tonight but I am pumped! My son is super excited for Mario 3D World and Mario Kart 8.

Welcome to the club! In addition to the games you've listed I highly recommend you check out Splatoon. There are other great games but Splatoon is a lot of fun.

Also, head over to the eShop and check out some of the indie games. The Wii U, somewhat amazingly, is home to a lot of really great console exclusives.

Don't forget to pick up a copy of Super Mario Maker and create some levels!

Splatoon & Mario Maker are high in the wishlist! The bundle I got came with Nintendoland, 3D World, Mario Kart 8, Hyrule Warriors, and Xenoblade Chronicles X. That should be enough to keep us busy for a while. Though I will be on the lookout for some indie titles when I get some more expenable cash. I'm keeping a little in reserve for Killer Instinct season 3.

I just got through transferring our Wii data and my son and I played a few levels in 3D World before he had to get ready for bed. He is loving the tablet controller.

The Xenoblade texture packs are still downloading lol.
