Re: One Console to Rule them All
If I could only own one single console, it'd have to be the PS2.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.
Re: One Console to Rule them All
I only answered the question in practical terms, because I see no reason to answer it any other way. If I only had one console, I would take advantage of it's built in backwards compatibility, even if it was only done through emulation. I'm not really willing, nor do I want to, go through the effort of modifying a console in order to use any kind of unofficial emulation or homebrew or whatever on it. So I answered the question with unofficial emulation counted out, but built in backwards compatibility factored in.

A Japanese Saturn. It's the only console I still play regularly.

I don't know about ultrahdmi, looks promising. I don't like 3d Games to be in scan-lines and it doesn't seem to feature any anti-aliasing features. I recall playing zelda 64 playing decent on 480p lcd monitor Wii console.

Re: One Console to Rule them All
For only one console I'd have to choose the GameCube with the Game Boy Player. There are so many good games combined it's crazy. If backwards compatibility counted it'd be hard to choose between the Wii and Wii U. I'd probably choose the Wii because my GameCube collection is my favorite.
For a handheld it'd have to be a DS Lite followed closely by the GBA SP AGS-101 model.
If I had to choose a non-Nintendo console it'd be the launch edition PS3.

This is basically my thinking. Nintendo is great about backwards compatibility.jmbarnes101 wrote:For only one console I'd have to choose the GameCube with the Game Boy Player.
