Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Today I procrastinated by drawing monitors and PC screens on a piece of paper to create my ideal gaming setup

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
It's the closet thing we're getting to Rune Factory 5, considering our beloved Neverland has closed their doors.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm interested in this Stardew Valley game I keep hearing about. I've heard a couple of things that make me think I might not like it, but on the other hand, I've heard it compared to FoMT enough that it has my interest.
Well that is so unintuitive that I've never noticed. Sometimes it's okay to be boring Nintendo, a simple progress bar would have been fine.Sarge wrote:Look at the background of the box, though. It does indicate progress, even if it isn't the desired granularity.
Anyway, I downloaded Azure Striker Gunvolt, Mighty Gunvolt, and Crystal Warriors if anyone's wondering.

Mighty Gunvolt is really short, but cool. I need to get back to Azure someday...

It was pretty intuitive to me. Balls drop in the box and the box fills up.Exhuminator wrote:Well that is so unintuitive that I've never noticed. Mighty Gunvolt is cute but I really enjoyed Azure Striker Gunvolt. It really rewards skillful play.

I think once I saw the colored balls start sliding and dropping my brain shut off from the sheer fucking stupid of it. Seriously, what demographic needs that instead of a progress bar?MrPopo wrote:It was pretty intuitive to me. Balls drop in the box and the box fills up.

I've been meaning to get Azure for a while, was waiting for a sale because I didn't think it was worth $15. Now that Azure 2 is on the horizon, they finally slashed the price to $9.99 and I said alrighty then. I also grabbed Gunman Clive 2 while I was nabbing.
These are not the first eShop games I've bought. I've got something like thirty or so eShop games on my 3DS XL. A few of them are virtual console stuff, but most are just digital exclusives like Crimson Shroud and AA: Dual Destinies.

It is definitely not my preferred progress indicator. I still think it's better than the Wii progress bar. Sure, Mario hitting coin blocks is cute, but if you're on a slow connection, he hits that last block forever. Talk about annoying!Exhuminator wrote:I think once I saw the colored balls start sliding and dropping my brain shut off from the sheer fucking stupid of it. I recommend you never get a second 3DS and do a system transfer; the data is literally carried by Pikmin from one machine to another.

Yup, got to witness that when I upgraded to an XL. I thought it was pretty neat!
