Wii-U thoughts so far
Re: Wii-U thoughts so far
Kuru Kuru Kururin is a fantastic game I was always miffed they never released yet did in english overseas in England. I hate it when they pull that garbage at NOA, same with Doshin the Giant on Gamecube (of which I have both of those and a few others too.)

Absolutely agree. I have Kururin Squash but it arrived new in box so I haven't opened it yet.Tanooki wrote:Kuru Kuru Kururin is a fantastic game I was always miffed they never released yet did in english overseas in England. Hopefully some day with a system potent enough they'll emulate the GC titles and throw Doshin out there, or just remaster it even sooner. It's a crime we never got it. Shortly after moving back here the half price books up the street had it, someone actually turned in an immaculate PAL copy of the game with a white 1st party memory card formatted just for PAL saves. They wanted $20. I remembered 1/2 way across town the local shop at the Freeloader 1.06(needed to run PAL/JP games on a US cube w/out modding) also for $20. I did some driving and had some good fun for a bit after.
I find when NOA does something stupid, I'll dig up a way to play the game legally (or not) since they made the choice. I've got a good selection of GB, GBC, GBA, Gamecube, and Famicom titles from outside the US I'll run stock(handheld) or using a bypass (GC) or an adapter (Famicom) to get what I want.

Why is Twilight $60? Boo.

Is it? The standard edition is being sold for as low as just under £30 in some places in the UK.Stark wrote:Why is Twilight $60? Boo.

Can you get it for less without the Amiibo (in which I have absolutely no interest)? The digital version is "only" $50...Reprise wrote:Is it? The standard edition is being sold for as low as just under £30 in some places in the UK.Stark wrote:Why is Twilight $60? Boo.

I don't think the U.S. got a version like that - the version with the Amiibo and all was $48 with Amazon Prime though, and Best Buy's gamer club thing would likely be similar.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Can you get it for less without the Amiibo (in which I have absolutely no interest)? I couldn't find an Amiibo-less one, but I didn't look very hard.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Can you get it for less without the Amiibo (in which I have absolutely no interest)? Yeah, you can here in Europe. I don't know what its availability is like in physical stores, but online there's plenty of copies of either the standard game without the amiibo (around £30) and the full amiibo packed in version (around £40). No idea what it's like for you guys in the States though.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Can you get it for less without the Amiibo (in which I have absolutely no interest)? From what I've heard only the first run will have the Amiibo? Of course the Amiibo will unlock a completely new dungeon and looks cool so the extra $10 is worth it. If you pre-ordered it from GameStop you also get an exclusive soundtrack that was included with the PAL version. Again the PAL region gets a nicer collection then us out of the box.
