Does anyone know how to repair bad lines on a Gameboy
I'm wondering if anyone can repair my screen to my Gameboy. It's the original model and I will pay for any parts and shipping. I read it's easy but I don't have a soldering iron or a tri wing screwdriver. Thank you and I hope someone can fix the problem. Will follow up in morning gotta wake up at 4 am est. thanks

I find that the process is hit and miss for reviving an original GB screen.
I think I had moderate success repairing a screen once. I think the system still has blank lines when you 1st turn it on, but goes back to normal once it warms up a couple minutes. Was still a great improvement.
Anyways, you basically rub a hot soldering iron along one of the ribbon cables connecting the screen until you see improvement.
Weirdest fix ever.
Not sure if I'm up to experimenting again at the moment (and I do have systems to do that with). But I'll let you know if I get the itch to check on my originals again.

...just another lost soul...

Not weird, it just means that the solder has broken loose, or that there are cold solder joints going to the cable. Heating it up will reflow those joints, restoring connection to the screen.

Yeah I don't know how to do that. And I'm not good at a soldering gun. So I've seen videos and instructions and it looks super easy but I suck at soldering. Thats why I'm asking for help

I'm guessing you've not heard about the common fix for for a recurring Virtual Boy screen issue that involves you putting parts of the console in the oven.
