Video Game Music Quiz - March 1-15 Edition!

So, to continue the video game music quiz theme, I've put together a batch of songs for your listening pleasure. Just as with previous quizzes, answers should be submitted to me via private message. I'll take the liberty of using alienjesus' template, as well, so use that to make things easier when you want to submit. As always, general discussion is fine as long as it's not things that reveal what a particular song is. And don't check YouTube and the like for answers, that's cheating!

Some of these will be really obvious, and others might be a challenge depending on what you play. I didn't overtly try to choose hard tunes, I just picked stuff that I like listening to... so there might be a lot of rock. I did try to mix it up quite a bit, though, I promise!

No prizes, sorry. Just prestige, and the joy of furthering your video game education.

Either you really like RPGs and put a lot in the quiz, or I really like RPGs and guessed that everything was an RPG

Ha, yeah, I think the RPG genre is represented well above the others.

Oh, I'll also add this: If a tune is a remix of another song, I will both accept the original source or the remixed tune. There's a few that fall into that category.

Ha! Well, alienjesus knows that I pretty much did the same thing with my submissions. I'm actually getting a lot of entertainment from the guessing process.

I'm also realizing after the fact that I might have made this a little harder than it should have been. Don't be afraid to guess indie titles, I didn't stick to just console-only releases.

Also, there were definitely tunes in each other quiz that I just couldn't remember! What's worse, they were often from games I'd definitely played, so... no excuse, I suppose. I'm pretty sure my ability to recognize tunes is directly correlated to either having played it as a kid, or being so awesome that I don't forget it. Anything else just kinda blurs together 'cause I play too many games!

Just a reminder that this is still going! I've gotten three entries so far, and... I might have underestimated the difficulty. I think next time, I should probably avoid most of the indie titles.

(For the record, I didn't do any better on everyone else's quizzes!)

I don't think there should be much concern over how many most folks are able to get right. I'm not trying to prove anything -- I just love playing the game and discovering new music!

As suh I'd advise against trying to cater the quizzes to specifically make participants feel accomplished. Unless people are truly getting down in the dumps about it?

P.S: If you don't know the tune, the answer is always Sunset Riders. ALWAYS.
