Sorry had to be that guy, that's not the plural form of pokémon. Pokémon plural is Pokémon. Don't know why but that just bugs me when people say it that way or even as mans....kinda makes my ears bleed a little almost like hobie and "blowing in carts".Damm64 wrote:pokémon's.

Ys I was kind of relaxing until that last dungeon. For those that haven't experienced it, that final area is a marathon labyrinth. Hard to distinguish floor entrances, samey corridors, obscure event triggers. It's no wonder I moved on after playing Oath and I. I do have Origins among my GOG purchases, so maybe I should give the series one more try.Exhuminator wrote:I beat Ys: The Oath in Felghana on PC and didn't experience any glitches or bugs. But given so many variant PC configurations, anything's possible.
Of the Ys games that use that engine, I found Oath to be the weakest of the bunch. I enjoyed Napishtim more than Oath. That said, Ys Origin is far and away better than Oath and Napishtim combined. Play Ys Origin and you're in for a grand time.

You should, if you got the GoG lineup try the original #1 and #2 as they're a really nice starting point to see if you can stomach it. Origins is a later one as are others so you may or may not get into them if you can't handle those. Ark of Napishtim which was also a PSP title I had some years ago is pretty decent, but it will drag again if you dislike the style of the older titles.LensOfTruth wrote:Ys I was kind of relaxing until that last dungeon. My unpopular gaming opinion of the day:
With a few exceptions, handheld Zelda is better than console Zelda.
Exceptions -
Console: A Link to the Past and Wind Waker are brilliant games.
Handheld: Spirit Tracks sucks and Phantom Hourglass is just OK.
General: Ocarina of Time sucks

Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
I just posted this in another thread, but here's an unpopular opinion: I think Panzar Dragoon Saga is highly overrated.
For years I heard this game touted as one of the defining experiences of the Sega Saturn. I was really itching to give it a whirl. When I finally got around to playing it, I was really let down.
Sure, the battle system was novel... but I just didn't think it was that fun. PDS is only like 10-15 hours long, but it was honestly a struggle for me to get through it. I contemplated quitting multiple times because it just didn't hold my interest whatsoever. When I really enjoy a game, the ending is always bittersweet because I'm sad it's over; with PDS, I trudged through it and was relieved it was finally done.
