How many hours a week do you play video games (on average)?

This poll* is purely conducted out of community curiosity. I understand that some weeks one might play video games more often than other weeks. But if one were to average out the amount of time one plays per week, that would be an appreciable poll answer.

*I used the (admittedly non-robust) forum search engine, and couldn't find if this topic has been discussed before or not. Even if it has been, membership changes over time so new information is always relevant.

6-10 but I think I may be being a tad generous. I just don't have the time I did just 5 years ago (pre-kid and pre-semi sick wife) so it's a time or too tired to give a crap to bother. Lately it has been that doing Destiny with my nephews online 1-2x a week for a few hours each time and then my dabbling with a Gameboy or something. I could easily go a week with zero or near it.

I have a difficult time guessing this sort of thing since I'm really bad at keeping track of time, but 11-15 hrs sounds about right I think. It would be a lot higher when I'm not in school so it might average a bit higher, but I ignored that for the poll.

I said 30+ since on the weekends I usually do nothing but game from the time I get up until the time I go to bed, but that does, admittedly, depend on whether or not I'm able to get my lesson plans and grading done during the week (and that's a big if some weeks).

I'm in the 11-15 tier myself. Some weeks I get more, some weeks less, but it averages out to probably 14 hours a week. I'd play more if I could, but real life and stuff.

My time is more limited than others. I usually get some time in every night, but on particularly long days when I just want to wind down and relax before going to bed, I'll typically prefer to sit and watch a movie, rather than play a game. So I'm usually around 5 solid hours, give or take. Unless I'm just really into the gaming zone, which might bump it up to 10. But I really like to space out my interests so I don't get burned out on one or the other.

6-10 on average for me, on rare occasions a game such as RPGs can suck me in at 20 or more a week. Culdcept Saga or Far Cry 2 (Map editing) I would sink in at least 6hrs a day on those.

I space my gaming out a lot, and I spread it out over multiple games and platforms. I usually have something that I play on my 3DS or iPad over breakfast, and I usually have a game that I am playing for my children's entertainment. I also tend to have a console game that I am playing exclusively for my entertainment, and right now, at least, I am also playing a video game co-operatively with my wife. When you add up all that time - 15 minutes over breakfast, 20 minutes with my children, 45 minutes late in the evening, etc. - I probably total between six and ten hours a week. That number increases or decreases depending on whether I am really engrossed in a game, temporarily burnt out on gaming, have a lot on going on at work, etc.
