People are saying Birthright is the easy Fates, and Conquest is where the kid gloves come off. I have no idea what the difficulty level of Revelation is.ElkinFencer10 wrote:It's not a tough game so far.

I hope so; Birthrights isn't even a challenge aside from one or two maps (except for the amiibos; Marth is a BITCH to beat).Exhuminator wrote:People are saying Birthright is the easy Fates, and Conquest is where the kid gloves come off. Cool. Now I can just get Conquest and forget about Birthright. Don't gotta fork over a billion for the special edition either, on that note. I mean, new maps are new maps, so perhaps eventually, but I think for now Conquest will take my searching precedent.Exhuminator wrote:People are saying Birthright is the easy Fates, and Conquest is where the kid gloves come off. I identify everyone via avatar, so if you change your avatar, I genuinely might completely forget who you are. -- Me

My understanding is Relevations is between the two.Exhuminator wrote:People are saying Birthright is the easy Fates, and Conquest is where the kid gloves come off. I have no idea what the difficulty level of Revelation is.ElkinFencer10 wrote:It's not a tough game so far.
The free Before Awakening DLC is nice for grinding supports since it doesn't give any exp and is fairly easy to complete once your characters are high enough that you want to be grinding the supports for the Paralogues.

@PartridgeSenpai
You can forget about Birthright, if you don't mind not experiencing its exclusive plot.
I'll be the first to say Nintendo milked Fates' release to a disgusting degree. Taking a game that should have been one massive experience, and dividing it into three separate releases, is just crude monetization. It's not doing the customer any favors at all.
However, knowing this is some sweet assed SRPG goodness, I was willing to fork over the $80 for both Birthright and Conquest. Physical releases however, so I can at least sell them later, and recoup some of that expenditure. Unfortunately, Revelation is gonna be DLC only, if you didn't get it with the very under the radar special edition.
(Also Popo, I have also read recently Revelations is medium difficulty, versus Birthright's easy and Conquest's hard.)

If the content is there, I would say it is warranted. More so than the dual pokemon releases.
Basically you are buying the main game and a campaign, content found in a normal release. Then, for $20 more per, you get another fully fleshed out campaign. This is similar to Shining Force 3 as well.

Yeah, it's a super cash grab, but it's not NEARLY as bad as Pokemon because, as Mustang pointed out, Birthright and Conquest actually unique stories where as Pokemon is the exact same minus which fight dogs Pokemon appear.

So I'm starting to feel like the addition of the bows/magic/ninja weapons to the weapons triangle has nerfed some of the classes. The one that sticks out in my mind is the Mage Knight. In past games the addition of swords meant you could equip a magic sword and get a triangle bonus against axe users which might be the edge you need to survive. Now swords and magic are at the same place in the triangle, so the only reason to equip a sword is to get physical damage in against a mage, but your strength is still low (even with the promotion bonus) and you start at rank E.

See and pokemon would be better if they'd do another RSE type story(magma and aqua....kinda weird to me they did it once and never again when it would be great to see something like it again).ElkinFencer10 wrote:Yeah, it's a super cash grab, but it's not NEARLY as bad as Pokemon because, as Mustang pointed out, Birthright and Conquest actually unique stories where as Pokemon is the exact same minus which fight dogs Pokemon appear.

Yeah, I'm not liking the changes to the triangle. I liked having magic and projectiles be separate from the traditional weapon triangle.MrPopo wrote:So I'm starting to feel like the addition of the bows/magic/ninja weapons to the weapons triangle has nerfed some of the classes.
