Re: SNESdrunk reviews
I have yet to play SimAnt (any version), but yeah, I was so disappointed with SimCity 2000 on the SNES. I played the hell out of the first SimCity on the SNES, and I liked it a million times more than the PC version. So when I found out SC2K was on the SNES, having already played 2K on the PC a lot, I guess my thoughts were something like, "If SimCity on the SNES is that much better than the PC, then SimCity 2000 on the SNES must be that much better than the PC version too!" Boy, was I let down big time.

Shining Force II rulezzzzzz.....
And yeah, the SNES strategy RPG library is marred by the fact that games like Bahamut Lagoon, Energy Breaker, FEDA, Tactics Ogre, Der Langrisser, Front Mission, and the 16-bit Fire Emblem trilogy all remained in Japan. The Genesis had a nice trio of Warsong and Shining Force I/II (not to mention an additional Shining Force game for the Sega CD).

I kid, I kid. I never gave SimEarth a shot. But I found SimAnt quite awesome because it was so oddball and quirky. Take over a guy's house as an ant? Why the hell not! Of all of these, the first SimCity is definitely my personal favorite. The rest...well, I suppose I'm happy that Maxis tried. PC ports so often did so poorly on the SNES that I'm still a little surprised at how playable the first Sim game ended up being.

Warsong (Langrisser) is wayyyy behind the SF games IMO, battles are just way too long.BoneSnapDeez wrote:Shining Force II rulezzzzzz.....

Thanks, I'm so embedded in my routine that I don't really notice stuff like that. So thanks for noticing8bit wrote:Dude, look how many videos you've made! And look how long this thread is now at 106 pages! Well done!

Thought it'd be a vid about the Game Boy RPG:
I really like to see this SNES stuff come to Steam! That game doesn't look very great though......
