He accepted my return, and i sent him pics of the fake one and a real one, not sure if he noticed it was broke, but idgaf.

Also those replacement cases are SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEET, id replace all my DS games with the clear one.

It seems the fake cases break easier, and once you take them apart, you cant put them back together, do the legit ones just snap back? (never opened a legit DS cart)

So what's the trick to getting a real one? I would love to have a copy of Pokemon Platinum but I am pretty gun shy...

From online marketplaces that aren't trusted retailers? There really isn't much you can do these days. Make sure you check over a seller's feedback thoroughly and buy from people who take pictures of the game from several angles.

The main way is to make sure you can see the Front and back serial numbers and that they match. You might not always have that luxury with a larger volume seller, so pick a reputable smaller volume seller.
