In SOTN I much preferred the Crissaegrim chainsaw from the Schmoo once I'm far enough into the game. That thing...that is a hoss.

My suggestion for beating just about any boss in first castle SOTN? Dagger and lots of hearts. Just spam daggers and watch as the bosses can't even move.

I use holy water for every boss, with the exception of The Granfaloon and Beelzebub. The ax works well for either. Or just spam Power of Sire, pentagrams, or some other such goodie.

Jewel knuckles- just punch the ever loving shit out of everything....also soul steal when the need arises

Granfaloon and Beelzebub were both second castle. Thus my first castle statement But yes, holy water also works well.

This week I've been unable to get anywhere with Castlevania IV in my game cave, so I began Symphony of the Night on the PSP.

WOW. This gives me next-gen shivers after playing SNES and PC Engine. The animation is so lush and fun to watch, like if Metal Slug were more serious and less toony. The music could be in a Hollywood movie and I wouldn't bat an eye.

The only odd thing is the game seems short. I'm only an hour into it and my progress says 25% complete.
