I did the same thing but in Birthright. When I do Conquest, I'm definitely going incest. Honestly if it weren't for the fact that I'd have to forego children, I'd have my part be a giant lesbian orgy.

Hmmm. Y'know, if I didn't know any better, I'd think we were playing two games from completely different series.

Already planning for post-Awakening beat, I'm either continuing Maple Story: Unmei no Shojo, or I'm gonna give Shadow Dragon another go. It really turned me off that there was no 'rescue' mechanic, because it's a remake of the first game, but Awakening doesn't really have one either. It really makes you emphasize body-blocking as opposed to just pushing OP archers to the front and then just hiding them once they one shot a big guy.

Oh yeah, the series made a huge technical leap forward with Seisen no Keifu.

In Fates, I was hoping the path decision to make would've been better set up and the choice tougher in a story sense rather than choosing the difficulty of the campaign.

Even 5 skirmishes in, I don't really have much background info besides this guy is really evil and did these bad things, and did bad things to me. Why would my character be motivated to join him?

I guess I compare it a bit to Tactics Ogre and it's big story branching decision, and this is very lacking in comparison.

I'm in the home stretch for Fates. The map I'm currently on involves bouncing back and forth between two halves of my army activating Dragon Veins to open the paths. The previous map was a "get to the end" with infinitely respawning enemies. I said fuck that and tossed my Avatar behind my super tank General and made a beeline for the exit. The enemies couldn't do any damage; the only reason my health went down was they have a skill that reduces HP when they initiate an attack but it can't kill. It was pretty funny and I gained four levels on my General. Effie has been an utter beast for me; she's got crazy strength and defense and just goes around one shotting everything.

I'll be getting physical versions of Birthright and Conquest this week. I'll likely nab Revelation later via DLC.

After I finish Panzer Dragoon Saga, my next lunch hour RPG's gonna be the original GBA Fire Emblem. I mean, the first one that came to USA anyway. So maybe I'll be playing it before this thread expires.

Got the first Fire Emblem today. Pretty excited as it's the first non-portable game in the series I own. Fired it up for a bit, the fan translation is pretty solid.

That said, I looked at some length estimates online and, given the large amounts of projects I have on deck this next coming month, there isn't any way I could finish this by April. Perhaps I'll save this for the Summer Challenge when I have a bit more time.
